@Maasw First of all, this is the Wiki forum, and I don't think the word that you ended the sentence "because the raters are..." on is allowed. Maybe you should've used wimps instead.

Second of all, while not on a very high scale, the Tamagotchi franchise has had a fair share of...content that wasn't so G for General or E for Everyone (for example, alcohol consumption was a major plot point for the vintage era, the Predator mechanic in some earlier devices could be seen as violence that could lead to Tama-Slaughter if not tended to accordingly, and let's not forget about the anime, which had an episode that had a bait-and-switch joke that displayed a shoulder massage that was initially shown as sexual assault in progress.)

The point I'm trying to make is if Tamagotchi Adventure Kingdom gets an E10+ rating, it'll probably disappoint you, but it won't be surprising to me and other fans, especially if it incorporates LGBTQIA+ themes, which the United States as a whole is unfortunately not universally keen on the idea of letting kids know that such people exist and deserve respect and fair opportunities, no matter how SFW such a moral turns out to be.

…and now the gray area of E-10s (I’ve rated these games G but they contain content that some parents may prefer to have a low end PG instead and so these moments are exceptions where I can actually forgive the raters)

It is a little silly that we had that banter about the rating of a Tamagotchi game that hasn't even been announced yet. Besides, in a day & age where kids are constantly playing the T-rated Fortnite and used to frequently play Call of Duty back in the day, the M-rating be darned, the rating of a Tamagotchi game should be the least of our expectations.

@Tinydoge I don't know what you're talking about, but I simply pointed that anime scene out to prove to Maasw that the Tamagotchi franchise isn't quite pure innocent nothing-beyond-E-for-Everyone. We've had that conversation, and I'd like to change the topic back to being about the hopes and possibility of Tamagotchi Adventure Kingdom showing up in the Nintendo Direct tomorrow morning, or at least hopes for the Direct in general.

So let’s change the subject—I recently watched a bit of gameplay footage and the visuals to be honest look kind of cheep (though I’m currently the only person to have said this so I could be wrong. Also it’s only one aspect) but who knows—the game’s not even out yet and we’re already discussing it
