Tamagotchi ON easily claps the UNI,tho the UNI is pretty good too. (Better than the smart and Pix,which are the 2nd most recent color Tamas)

I Don't Have The On

I don't have a uni but i like both. I got 3 Ons way before it got discontinued

For some reason the ON cost like 299 dollars now on amazon even tho it was like 50 dollars when I first saw it in like 2019 💀

The On is way more expensive now because they stopped making it a few years ago. The Uni is newer so it's easier to find and cheaper. I don't have an Uni but it seems more similar to the Pix which I didn't like very much, I prefer the On because of the gene mixing and being able to have a unique tama (and name your tamas) instead of raising the same ones over and over, and your tama doesn't die easily (not sure about Uni but my Pix tamas die all the time)

Also the main reason I don't want an Uni is that there's apparently no way to turn it off or pause it if you want to take a break from it (people say things about letting the battery run out but some people have reported that it doesn't work and their tama dies)

@MimiPi so is it recommended that I get a “original” tamagotchi (on amazon by the official tamagotchi store)?

@DreamyCarousel if you want to get an original one for the gameplay,get a replica,if you want to get the harder version,prepare some $500 for an OG p1/p2. If you want color ones,i think this is mostly about what you want (Gimmicks,characters,etc)

For gimmick i'll recommend the ON as it has M!Xing which is proclaimed as the best gimmick on color Tamas,yet if you want characters,you might want to get the P's,with enough modding you can get any character possible. But all is up to what you like.

I think I’ll get a Uni or just get like 50 plushies for Christmas :p

Idk if I can handle a tama dying but as long as it’s fun, I don’t care too much
