So...after half a year since the trademark has been discovered, Tamagotchi Adventure Kingdom has finally been unveiled, to be released on January 4th (my birthday, no less). And just about everything about the game looks fantastic, and it's looking to paint a bright future in Tamagotchi's franchise experimentation (300 characters. Need I say more?).
But there's one major thing that prevents me from being excited about it; the fact that it's gonna be exclusive to Apple Arcade, meaning that only iPhone users will be able to experience it and Android users such as myself will be out of luck unless we switch gears and spend thousands of dollars on an Apple phone.
That's where this drawing comes to play; I have hyperfixated on Tamagotchi for a whole decade now. I see its potential as a franchise, and it deserves far better than Apple Arcade. Interactive software based on Tamagotchi deserves to be accessible to as many people & available on as many platforms as possible; iPhone, Android, Nintendo's hardware, PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, etc.
I drew the aforementioned platforms (sans Apple, who is instead gloating in towers of money) down in the dumps about being left out of the Tamagotchi goodness. Android is tearing up, Switch is bawling, PlayStation & Xbox are attempting to cope with beers, and Steam looks plain-as-day glum, while Mametchi & Lovelitchi look down on what could've been the franchise's first-ever multi-platform game.
