A Sparkling Debut! Lovelin's Skating Lessons (キラ〜ン! ラブリン氷上に舞う Kira~n! Raburin hikami ni mau) is part 2 of episode 13 of Tamagotchi!.
Synopsis[]
While Mametchi and friends were playing at the skating rink, Lovelin comes in for a shoot. Lovelin, who has never skated before, decides to pair with someone. Who will be the lucky partner?
Plot[]
The episode begins at an ice rink, where Mametchi, Memetchi, Kuchipatchi, Makiko, and Flowertchi are getting ready to go ice skating. As Memetchi notes that Lovelitchi couldn't come with them today, Makiko goes ahead and performs spins on the ice. Feeling jealous, Memetchi goes besides her and does spins too and Mametchi tells them that they just came to the rink to have fun.
Just then, Dorotchi and Togetchi see the three and say hi to them, with Dorotchi gliding above the ice, wearing ice skating shoes on his hands and Togetchi and Nemutchi gliding by. Gozarutchi is also there walking with on the ice with his snowshoes. Togetchi adds that Hinotamatchi was supposed to come with them, but wasn't allowed in because his heat would melt the ice. The scene cuts to Hinotamatchi angrily arguing with the guard, saying he wants to go skating with his friends.
The group then notices the Lovelin Bus parking outside the ice rink. ADtchi comes up to the entrance to apologize to everyone as they'll be using the ice rink for a TV show. Lovelin carefully walks in with her ice skates on and ADtchi tells her to practice on the rink for a bit. She sees her friends and waves at them while blushing. Manenetchi explains that they had to change scenes at the last minute because the owner at the original location thought they were intruders and literally exploded in anger. Lovelin says she has a problem and Manenetchi further explains that she doesn't know how to ice skate, surprising her friends and embarassing Lovelin.
Her friends start teaching her how to skate, starting with teaching her how to stay upright on the ice. Lovelin ends up falling on her face and Flowertchi tells her that she can take a break, but Lovelin persists, saying that the camera crew will shoot soon. Makiko and Memetchi then step in to help her slide on the ice and she thanks them. Nearby, Kuromametchi peeks out of a wall, watching them closely. Lovelin begins to slide on the ice by herself and the girls are hopeful that she'll learn ice skating in no time. However, Lovelin wants to move on to learning tricks so the show will be good and the girls tell her that it's too soon to learn that.
Mametchi then suggests that Lovelin skates with a partner so they can guide her while she skates. Makiko and Memetchi get excited over the idea and quarrel over who gets to be her partner. Mametchi adds that it should be a boy who partners up with Lovelin as he thinks an ice skating pair of girls would be weird. He suggests that one of of them dress up like boys and the girls imagine themselves in that situation. After thinking about it, Makiko decides it'd be unusual to do that and Memetchi replies that she doesn't want to dress up as a boy. Makiko then gets an idea: Mametchi and Kuchipatchi can be Lovelin's partners instead. Both are hesistant as Mametchi replies that he doesn't have experience in ice skating and Kuchipatchi adds that he's not proficient, slipping over and falling on his butt. ADtchi calls out to Lovelin to start shooting and she thanks her friends for their help, accepting that she'll probably fall a lot but will do her best anyways.
Kuromametchi says "Perfect" to himself and then runs across the parking lot. Mametchi remembers that he has an invention that could help Lovelin and also runs off to get it. Kuromametchi goes into a fashion shop to buy something and comes out with a black cloak. Meanwhile, Mametchi retrieves his invention from his house and runs back. At the ice-skating rink, shooting is about to start as the gang worries for Lovelin. Mametchi arrives at the last minutes and tells the TV crew that he wants to skate with her. TamaPtchi accepts his request with enthusiasm, thinking it'll be good material for a movie. He reveals his invention to be the "Miracle Super Jet Ice Skates" which will make him skate like a pro despite his lack of skills. After putting them on and activating them, Mametchi gets rocketed up towards the sky, astonishing everyone. Kuromametchi then appears on the roof, saying that he'll be Lovelin's partner instead. He takes off his cloak and shows off his costume: a purple dress suit with six big decorative feathers behind him. ADtchi says he looks too flashy and that he'll ruin Lovelin popularity, horrifying Kuromametchi so much that he falls off the roof.
TamaPtchi spots someone who he thinks will save the show and the scene shifts to Tama Cafe, where on a screen Lovelin is skating gracefully with her partner Nemutchi. She tells everyone to have fun at the ice skating rink and it's revealed that the gang plus Lovelitchi is watching on a laptop screen. Mametchi sits by himself at a separate table, sighing in defeat. Nearby, leaning on a wall, Kurmomametchi says to himself that there's always next time.
