Acchi Kocchi Tamagotchi Town (あっちこっちたまごっちタウン "Here and There, Tamagotchi Town) is a manga series written by Kagari Junko (かがり淳子) and published by Shogakukan. There are four volumes simply titled "Acchi Kocchi Tamagotchi Town", and a following four volumes titled "Acchi Kocchi Tamagotchi Town Hyper" which add Kuromametchi and Chamametchi to the cast. There are additionally two stand-alone volumes: one is a selection of past stories and one is based on the Tamagotchi! anime.
Story[]
The series is made up of individual comedy and slice-of-life stories that usually vary from 8-16 pages in length. The start of each volume (excluding the final one) includes several extras, including cardboard press-out activities, a short manga featuring Junkotchi (the mangaka as a Tamagotchi character), several full-color 4-panel strips, character profiles and location introductions, parody advertisements (such as pretend advertisements for fashion and movies on Tamagotchi Planet), a pretend "Tamagotchi Navi" magazine cover (parodying Japanese magazines such as "Stage Navi"), and a Detective Memetchi manga story. Due to being under Ciao Comics, Ciaotchi is often seen in the extras.
The series usually focuses on scenarios at Tamagotchi School, but also has stories that take place in various locations on Tamagotchi Planet such as Mame City, Patchi Forest, and Uratama Town. While Mametchi, Memetchi, and Kuchipatchi are the main characters, many other characters get lots of focus as well. There are also stories featuring characters that are rarely focused on in Tamagotchi media, like Young Oyajitchi, Big Boss Gotchi, and Beartchi.
The last volume, "Acchi Kocchi Tamagotchi! Carnival" is noticeably different from previous volumes. It takes on a slightly more anime-like style (which is not present on the cover, because the cover uses an old illustration) and focuses on the canon of the Tamagotchi! anime. A lot of the characters from previously in the manga series are absent, but it adds the anime characters Lovelitchi, Melodytchi, and the Spacy Brothers.

- Makiko: She is Memetchi's rival and has a big crush on Mametchi.
- Violetchi: A sweet and caring girl who loves flowers and tends to the gardens outside Tamagotchi School.
- Young Oyajitchi: A sensitive and curious Tamagotchi who has a crush on Violetchi.
- Tarakotchi: His lips are very shiny and often get mistaken for other objects.
- Young Mametchi: A young Tamagotchi who deeply looks up to Mametchi and hopes to impress him.
