Anpan Detective(あんパン刑事(デカ) An pan deka or けいじ Keiji), also known as Detective Anpan, is a role that Mametchi plays in the TAMAX-TV show, Thief Papillon.

Appearance[]
Anpan Detective wears a long brown trench coat and a brown hunting cap that has holes to allow his ears to pop out at the top.
Personality[]
Anpan Detective is a detective who is well known for being good in solving crimes. He is confident and thorough when investigating crime scenes, thinking of all the possibilities when it comes to the culprit. He also enjoys snacking on bread and milk, doing so while investigating or taking a break.

Detective Anpan on a case
In Thief Papillon, Anpan Detective is usually called upon by museums to either find the culprit behind stealing a priceless artifact or to stop a thief from stealing the artifact. The thief behind the crime is Thief Papillon, a professional thief who steals expensive items to sell for money to give to the poor. Anpan Detective often works with police officers Kuchipatchi and Memetchi, Forensic Officer KuroMametchi, and Melody Investigator to solve the case. Despite his efforts, Thief Papillon always manages to outsmart Anpan Detective and get away with the item.
Anpan Detective first appears in "Stop Right There! Thief Papillon!" where he is tasked with defending the Golden Goddess Statue from Thief Papillon. Papillon ends up turning off the room's lights, beating up Anpan and trapping him in the statue's display case, swapping the statue out with him. In "Which One? Thief Papillon Again", Anpan Detective is asked to protect the treasure of Very Rich Kingdom and manages to arrest Thief Papillon before they could steal the treasure. However, it's revealed that he arrested Dreamitchi instead who was disguised as Papillon and Papillon herself uses her Princess Chamametchi disguise to run away in the confusion.
With Melody Investigator
Anpan Detective is introduced to Melody Investigator in "Lazy Reasoning? Detective Anpan VS Melody Investigator" who follows him around and does her own investigation. This annoys Anpan who is distracted by her and feels like she is getting in the way. After TamaPtchi asks Mametchi to make the show more exciting, Anpan Detective ends up outing himself as the culprit who stole the treasure, much to the confusion of the actors and Lovelin who was ready to reveal herself as the thief at that moment.
In "Slapstick Included! Detective Anpan", Anpan Detective disguises himself as a girl to infiltrate a hotel party and stop Thief Papillon from stealing a ruby.
GO-GO Tamagotchi![]
Anpan Detective Returning appears in "Escape Event! House of Thief Papillon" where he along with Detectives Yumemitchi and Kiraritchi are invited to a solve a labyrinth inside Thief Papillon's house.

Tamagotchi no Narikiri Channel[]
Anpan Detective is playable in Tamagotchi no Narikiri Channel if the player chooses Mametchi. In the game, Anpan Detective's name is デカ Deka. The player controls Deka as they run around the city chasing after Thief Papillon. They must catch her a certain number of times to win the game and this must be accomplished before Thief Papillon collects all the jewels around the city.
