Babytchi (ベビっち Bebitchi) is a baby character that debuted on the original Tamagotchi. His female counterpart is ShiroBabytchi.

His name is from the English word "baby".
Appearance[]
Babytchi resembles a small, black ball with white eyes and a mouth. The Tamagotchi L.i.f.e. app includes data for red and blue versions, but they cannot be obtained.
Personality[]
Babytchi is often the first Tamagotchi a new caretaker will have, and he's a very needy little baby. But seeing his sweet, innocent smile when he's content makes all the hardwork worthwhile. He requires constant attention and tender loving care to begin his life well. A dependent baby that is needy and cries a lot, he becomes hungry quickly. In about one hour he will transform into a rebellious stage.

Babytchi is the baby of the Tamagotchi Generation 1, born five minutes after the clock is set. It will evolve into Marutchi 65 minutes later, spending one hour awake and five minutes asleep. Babytchi loses one Hungry heart every 3 minutes and one Happy heart every 4 minutes. Babytchi will poop 15 minutes after being born, get sick after 33 minutes, fall asleep after 40 minutes, and wake up and poop a second time after 45 minutes. Babytchi's weight will remain at 5, regardless of what it's fed. Babytchi will not die in this stage unless continuously fed snacks.
Santaclautch no Tamagotch[]
Babytchi is an NPC that may sometimes be seen on the Tamagotchi Monitor.
Tamagotchi Connection[]
Babytchi is the male baby of this release. He will always evolve into Marutchi on the first generation, and will have a chance to become Kinakomotchi from the second generation onward if its birthparents had over 50% training or were one of the first or second-tier adults. If an Ojitchi and Otokitchi marry they will always produce a Babytchi, who will in turn always evolve straight into Oyajitchi.
Babytchi's base weight is 5lb, and its unique meal and snack are a bottle of milk and bottle of chocolate milk respectively, both of which it shares with ShiroBabytchi. Tamacom can only be used with Babytchi on the American release of the V1.
Pac-Man Tamagotchi[]
Babytchi is one of two possible baby characters that can be born. After 24 hours, depending on the quality of care provided, it will evolve into either Mimitchi, Pochitchi, or Zuccitchi.

Tamagotchi (GB)[]
Babytchi hatches from the striped, heart-patterned, checkered and black eggs. Its favorite food is bread/onigiri, it dislikes carrots, and will take an hour-long nap three hours after hatching. Another two hours later, Babytchi will evolve into Marutchi with less than ten stress or Tonmarutchi with ten or more stress.
Tamagotchi CD-ROM[]
Babytchi has a 50% chance of being born when a new egg is hatched. As with the original Tamagotchi, it loses a heart every few minutes, will always evolve into Marutchi and takes a nap after half an hour or so - but it will stay asleep for nearly an hour instead of five minutes, greatly extending the amount of time the baby stage lasts.
Babytchi's meal and snack are a bottle of milk and a pink frosted bun respectively, which it shares with ShiroBabytchi.

Babytchi is the sole baby Tamagotchi available at the start of the game, and always evolves into Marutchi.
Hoshi de Hakken!! Tamagotchi[]
Babytchi is the sole baby stage of Group E, only obtainable from spotted eggs produced by certain combinations of Group D adults. It always evolves into Marutchi.
Tamagotchi Connection Corner Shop series[]
Babytchi appears in this series as a regular customer in Tamagotchi Connection: Corner Shop and Tamagotchi Connection: Corner Shop 2 and as a possible baby in the Day Care Center in Tamagotchi Connection: Corner Shop 3.
Tamagotchi: Party On![]
Babytchi appears as an NPC who serves as a timer in minigames who eats dots from right to left as he reaches to an egg. Once the timer ends, the egg hatches into ShiroBabytchi.
