Does the Entama die after five care mistakes in a single growth stage, or over the course of its entire life? If it's in a single growth stage, the at child stage for instance you have
0-3 care mistakes: good teen 4 care mistakes: bad teen 5 care mistakes: premature death
Apparently the Keitai doesn't die at child stage at all. I thought that was the case with the Entama as well but apparently not. Let's say you got, let's see, two care mistakes at child stage, and two more care mistakes at teen stage... would your adult character die with one more, or is it five care mistakes to a growth stage that brings about death? In this example, at the start of the growth stage the counter resets and once you get five at adult stage it dies. Is that r…

I noticed Sy74kya was making major changes to the TamaOtch pages, and realizing that the link to the official site for it had died, I dived into the archives to retrieve what I could. The text below is from each character's profile page, plus their description and stage name from the character list page. Any and all assistance in properly translating these is appreciated. I will also be uploading the character artwork in due time.

Just recently, a user by the name of Sabitspooky altered the pages for Violetchi and related characters to the untranslated Japanese name, Furawatchi, with the justification being that Bandai America has not used this character in years and Japanese usage of her name should take priority.
I've done some digging, and the last time this character was used in any English language media after the TamaTown Tama-Go was the English dub of the Tamagotchi anime in Australia, which ended in 2014. In the dub, the character's name was Flowertchi, the same name used in the Let's Go! Tamagotchi dub and the movie dubs, and a direct translation of the Japanese name.
As this is the character's most recent appearance in any Western media, and uses a translati…

This is a totally random blog post that I will dedicate to: Absolutely Nothing.
I don't exactly know what blog posts are used for, so this one might be just nonsense.
I'm watching Yume Kira Dream right now for the first time, and I just found out that I had a really bad opinion of some of the characters in that, so I completely changed most of my likes and dislikes in it. I didn't like Yumemitchi at first because I thought she didn't quite care about any of her friends (except Kiraritchi) because she was idol. I didn't know how hard she worked to have her dream come true. Kiraritchi I disliked because of the same reason. Kiramotchi used to be my favorite Dream Town character because she was an artist, until I saw that she can turn a huge, pe…

I've recently acquired a 20th anniversary P2. After briefly untabbing it to unsuccessfully test if it is possible to kill a baby by overfeeding it snacks like with the original P1 and P2, I've decided that I want to learn more about the growth system. Hopefully it hasn't been altered much from the original releases.
From what I understand already, a Tonmarutchi with perfect care and no discipline should evolve into Tongaritchi, while discipline is vital to determining adult growth - apparently a Tongaritchi with perfect care but no discipline will evolve into Zuccitchi.
However, rumours persist that the heart levels may play an impact on the growth. With my first run of a P2 seven years ago, the Tongaritchi I had was fully disciplined, had n…

Figured that making a list like this might be convenient some time in the future. I'll probably convert parts into tables or something once the orders become concrete. I'm not sure if I want to add information about completely crossover-based releases such as the Mothra, Genjintchi and Aikatsu Deco Pierce; but I might if I'm planning to add things such as the breeds based on other franchises' characters such as Mariotchi from Minna de Tamagotchi World and the Sega line from Tamagotchi Park.
I'm going to try organise these guys in the order they can be obtained (or in the case of the video games, the order of their encyclopedias), with gender equivalents coming one after the other with priority over ones resulting from lower-quality care. Th…

Noticed some various stuff about the m!x and I figure there's no harm in recording it somewhere. Can't think of any actual page to put any of this stuff, it's too minute to be thrown onto the m!x page itself and whatever.
Favorite toys and/or foods seem to be inherited. Every time I've married my tama, it's been to a default tama. The resulting child ends up having a favorite toy/food of the default parent, seemingly. Morijikotchi child loves the grass doll toy thing and two of the kutchipatchi village themed snacks, for instance. Not really enough evidence to draw conclusions since i only caught on to this like a generation or so ago.
Teens are somehow abstracted from the care requirements after the first generation, I've gotten soyofuwatch…

A little over a week ago, I had a Hyottokotchi named Bob on my Chocolate Argyle V4.5. At the same time, I had a Ringotchi named Becky on my Pink Stripe V4 who evolved into Mimitchi a couple days later. I decided to get them married, so I connected them a bunch of times, and the next day, they got married and had baby boys. After their parents abandoned them, I expected them to both become Mame types (Because, you know... their parents both were). So I was pretty baffled when my Hyottokotchi's baby evolved into a Hashitamatchi. I realised that Mimitchi is a Universal Character on the V4.5, so I figured that must have been how it happened. And today, he evolved into Mametchi with high funny points (As for my Mimitchi's baby, he's now a Kuchi…

Mametchi sobbed quietly as he went over to The Old Suicide Tree, a tree with a noose tied to it. Nobody's used it in years; after all, this WAS Dream Town. As the name implied, Dream Town was the one place where dreams come true.
Or at least, so Mametchi thought...
He grabbed the nearby chair and proceeded to slide the noose over his head. His life began to flash before his eyes, dating all the way back to his birth in 1996. A tear ran down his cheek and was about to put his foot down toward the ground. After failing his mentor Ikaritchi, all his friends, AND himself, He decided it was best to hang himself. He felt as it was the right thing to do...right?
Suddenly, he heard the classic squeak that came from one of his friends from Dream Schoo…

You'd have thought, would you not, that Guriguritchi and Guriritchi are related in some way, like male and female counterparts, perhaps. It's kind of like how Volbeat and Illumise are related, I suppose...
I mean, they look similar and have similar names, but it would be unnatural for two characters who have a resemblance THAT close to not be related, right? Mind you, though...

I've created a sprite sheet for the possible offspring from mating Nijifuwatchi and Gozarutchi with the m!x fortune telling feature on Tamagotchi Channel. Once again, there are 224 possibilities, same as there was with Gozarutchi and Lovelitchi. The sprite sheet needs to be viewed in full size to see the correct pixels, sine it doesn't quite fit on the blog.
Anyways, got some interesting and cute results again. If I create any more sprite sheets for other characters, I'll just add them to this blog post, so I don't have to create a stream of blog posts just to keep adding new images.
Feel free to comment - I'd love to know what other people think of the m!x feature!

Previously I made a different blog post about the m!x fortune telling feature on Tamagotchi Channel. Recently, this feature was updated, with two major changes:
- Now, there are only 6 available character options: 3 boys (Mametchi, Gozarutchi, and Pikagorotchi) and 3 girls (Lovelitchi, Nijifuwatchi, and Shinobinyatchi)
- The artwork has changed to use sprites instead of ullustrations, presumably these will also appear on the toy itself
While I'm not sure I can easily assemble all of the possible sprites for all of the possible characters - despite there being less characters, there are actually more possible results - I did finish a sprite sheet for all the outcomes I got for Lovelitchi and Gozarutchi.
(View in full size for best results, the spr…

Tamagotchi Channel has added a new mini-game called "m!x Fortune Telling". You choose one of six male characters and one of six female characters to pair up, and then the fortune teller shows what their child will look like.
The game can be played here:
http://tamagotch.channel.or.jp/tamagotchi/mix/uranai/
I got two possible outcomes for each match-up, for a total of 72 unique offspring.
I made a chart compiling the different combinations I got in the game, which I've added below. As a side note, the game didn't specify names or genders for any of the offspring yet. I recommend viewing the chart in full size for the best results!

This is an analysis expressing the views of I, Himespetchi, and contains spoilers.
A series that first took a heavy hit on the Tamagotchi fanbase due to the removal of almost all the familiar characters. Looking back on it now, it is actually very good if you give it a chance. While Lovelitchi and Melodytchi were already famous when they were first introducted, Yumemitchi and Kiraritchi have the GOAL of becoming idols to accomplish, which gives a kind of reason to keep watching the show to see if they ever achieve their dreams.
YKD also introduced an array of great new character designs with a range of unique personalities. It's great to see them all in action, including those outside of the central characters. I actually quite enjoyed seeing…

I've been thinking it might be good to make a new page for a list of voice actors in the anime. Right now there are seperate articles for each voice actor, and I think it'd be better if all the voice actors were listed on one page. Having seperate articles for voice actors doesn't seem really efficient. The voice actor articles often contain a single image and a couple of sentences. I'm not saying they should be longer, we don't need too much info since it would get off topic from Tamagotchis. But if the pages are going to be that short, listing all of the voice actors on one page is probably better. Having seperate lists for each season is another possibility. I've noticed that some pages have lists, such as Let's Go! Tamagotchi and the T…

Just saying, you know how I'm having tons of fun making character lists for the virtual pets, but I recently saw that people have started making lists of all of the vpets' shells, and I want to do that too.
But those of you who are making shell lists, I know a website which lists EVERY shell design released for EVERY version. It's called 'Project Tama Shell'.
LAUNCH PAD - THIS WILL TAKE YOU THERE
This site makes creating shell lists so easy. All you have to do is click on the version you're doing and there it is, right in front of you!

After seeing the tabbers used for images in Mametchi's infobox, I tried to do something similar with the "Genders and Releases" section. This is what I came up with. It's almost the same as the current infobox, but it also lists the character's appearances in video games and anime. I don't know if it could be used on the wiki, but I like the concept. I'm curious about what other people think of this.

Characters Items
I have a proposal for an experimental infobox for articles on v-pet releases. My demonstration of it is on the right, using the Plus Color. The layout has a basic setup:
- The logo of the release is in the first row.
- The next row has a picture of the release in its original packaging.
- The next rows have the release date(s) and the cost at the time of release.
- The fourth row has a link to the character list / growth chart. If the release has items, there will be a link for those as well.
I'm attempting to get the wiki more streamlined, allowing users to find information they need much more quickly. Typically we have a link to the character list/growth chart halfway down the page, and tha…

I was thinking it might be nice, for some of the larger galleries, to separate the images into sections. One of the pages that already does this is Himespetchi's. Here's what I had in mind, using the Mametchi gallery as an example:
I think having different sections would make the galleries more organized and nicer looking. I realize it's not perfect and maybe it means extra work, but I think it's worth considering. What do you think?

Do you think it would be a good idea to add a slider for the latest/upcoming Tamagotchi episode, and update it every week? Or would that be pointless and too much hassle? I've seen a newest episode slider on My Little Pony Friendship is Magic wiki, and an upcoming episode slider on the Gravity Falls wiki. But I'm not sure if Tamagotchi Wikia needs it because the anime isn't that popular outside Japan.
What do you think?

I've been considering purchasing one of the recent Japanese Tamagotchi releases, like the P's, iD L, or the 4U. The Tamagotchi Friends is the first English release in a while, and although I might end up getting that, the color versions have my interest. I figured a few people on the wiki may have a recent Japanese release, and I was wondering if someone could give me their opinion on a device they own. I've looked around a bit online, and most of them seem kind of expensive, so that's been holding me back from just buying one right away. But if the Tamagotchi is really good, I won't mind the price as much. If someone has a Tamagotchi Friends, I'm interested in hearing about that as well, because I'm still considering buying it.
