Boketchi is a male Tamagotchi character who appeared in the Tamagotchi! anime. On virtual pets, he appeared on the Tamagotchi iD as a NPC. Together with Bosatchi, they form the Konbini Brothers.
Name Origin[]
"Boke" in Japanese means "Airheadness and forgetfulness". In Manzai comedy (traditional style of Japanese comedy that has two performers bounce jokes off each other), the boke is a funny man who makes mistakes in their jokes and gets corrected by their partner, the straight man. The correction sometimes comes in the form of hitting the boke.
Appearance[]
Boketchi has a short brown body that is shaped like an oval. He wears a long sleeve white shirt with a tag on it. He has yellow poofy hair and there's a unibrow on his face.

Boketchi and Bosatchi run the convenience store which is accessed from the food menu. They greet the Tamagotchi whenever they visit.

Boketchi works at TAMAX-TV as comedian. He generally does his routines with his brother, Bosatchi, acting as the funny man.
Boketchi is first seen in "Go-Go! TAMAX-TV Tour" performing a manzai comedy routine with Bosatchi in TAMAX-TV. In "Tah-Dah! Opposing Program Quiz Battle", he participates in a quiz show with his brother. The two accidentally steal Melodytchi's violin in "Let's Go-guru! Found a Violin" when they take it with them after seeing it left alone in Donuts Park. When Melodytchi and her friends track them down, they give the violin back and apologize for making them worry.
Boketchi and his brother participate in an eating contest in "Go Go! Gluttony! Kuchipatchi VS Kuishinbotchi", but become overwhelmed by the amount of food and give up. In "Wasshoi! TAMAX-TV Festival / Dodonto! Big Gathering of Popular Programs", the two run a convenience store styled booth and sell food.
