Otogitchi (おとぎっち Otogitchi), also known as Brother Otogitchi, is a male character that debuted in Tamagotchi: Happiest Story in the Universe!. On the virtual pets, he debuted on the Tamagotchi Plus Color.
Name Origin[]
Otogi (おとぎ) means "fairytale". He is called this because of his fairytale-like appearances and the fact that he owns a ship full of fairytales.
Appearance[]
Otogitchi has a yellow body and wears a green coat that has also has a hood. He wears a blue green hat with a feather sticking out and is usually holding a magic crayon.

Tamagotchi Plus Color[]
Otogitchi appears with Sister Otogitchi as a NPC in the Tamagotchi Plus Color. They can be seen on the Magical Flying Library Ship when the Springy Shoes item is used.
Tamagotchi iD L[]
Otogitchi is obtainable on the 15th Anniversary version. He evolves from Kujakutchi with 2-3 care mistakes.

Otogitchi was a mix station guest in Fall 2016 that could be married.
Tamagotchi On[]
Otogitchi appeared as a NPC in the Fantasy and Wonder Garden version. When the user's tamagotchi visits Wonder Garden, Princess Palace, and Arabian Night he will transport them there using the land's respective book in his library ship. He also runs the shops at all three places selling souvenirs.
He was also a Meets station guests in Fall 2019 that could be married.

Tamagotchi: Happiest Story in the Universe![]
Otogitchi is the top owner of the Magical Flying Library Ship. He is often seen playing his small Shofar horn, which he uses to call the children to his magical ship. He brings the ship to Tamagotchi School and invites them to the library inside where they can have adventures in the magical storybooks. After Kikitchi sneaks an unstable storybook from the ship and causes a paper tornado to engulf Celebria by jumping into it, he is seen at Mamemame Laboratory figuring out what to do. He is apologetic for the situation and agrees to let Mametchi and friends use the ship to enter the storybook so they can rescue Kikitchi and restore the missing ending to book.
Inside the book, he plays his shofar horn as Sister Otogitchi writes out new endings using the magic crayon to make them become reality. However, none of them are the real ending and they fade away. As the land around them falls apart, Otogitchi drives the ship to follow Mametchi and friends as they try to figure out the ending for the story while staying with Happy. Eventually, Happy is able to remember the true ending and the Otogitchi siblings work to write it in the story before the land under them completely disappears. The storybook is then restored and Otogitchi sails the ship back to Celebria after everyone says goodbye to Happy and Lucky.
In an after credits scene, Otogitchi and Sister Otogitchi are seen at Mametchi's house enjoying the fruit from his fully grown jolly tree.

Sister Otogitchi is Otogitchi's younger sister. She is only able to say "kyu". She is shy and often hides behind Otogitchi when meeting new people. Working together, the two are able to write new parts or objects into a magical storybook; Sister Otogitchi draws out the object with her magic crayon while Otogitchi plays his horn to bring it to reality.
