Cheery Cherry Blossoms (ポポン! 笑いで花を咲かせましょう Popon! Warai de hana osakasemashou) is part 1 of episode 20 of Tamagotchi!.
It is also the first episode to be rebroadcasted under Tamagotchi! Tamatomo Daishuu GO.
Synopsis[]
Mametchi and friends leave for Tama Plateau to see the cherry blossoms together. The legendary Tama Sakura tree is there and according to Flowertchi, will only bloom if everyone is laughing and happy. The Tama friends put up their own act to entertain everyone else and make them laugh to see the bloom.
Plot[]
Somewhere in the mountains, the Lovelin Tour Bus is cruising. Mametchi, Kuchipatchi, Gozarutchi, and Hapihapitchi are seen inside. The bus heads through a tunnel, where Mametchi points out that they'll be at Tama Plateau once they're through. Gozarutchi is psyched because everyone will be going to see the Tama Cherry Blossoms at the plateau. Mametchi then asks where the others are and Hapihapitchi responds that they're in the back, playing. There, Memetchi, Makiko, Flowertchi, and Lovelitchi are all having fun dressing up Chamametchi. Mametchi opens the door, informing the girls that they're about to stop at the Tama Plateau, only to have Chamametchi shaming him for entering a girl's room. Kuchipatchi then begins murmuring in excitement and everyone goes to the window to see that they made it to the plateau.
Outside the bus, there is a large tree that is supposedly the Tama Cherry Tree, but the branches are bare with no flowers. Everyone is disappointed and Kuchipatchi insists that they just eat their lunch, but Mametchi responds that they came all this way to see the blossoms. Flowertchi, however, reassures them and explain how the tree works: it uses cheerfulness and laughter as nutrients so it can grow. If they can recreate these emotions then the tree should be able to bloom the flowers that everyone wanted to see. She then adds that in flower language, Tama Cherry Blossom means "Passionate laughter" before telling everyone to laugh in a threatening voice. Makiko and Lovelitchi are disturbed by Flowertchi's sudden change in mood, but she goes back to being normal by beginning to spin plates. She then informs everyone to be fun and silly to make the tree grow.
As everyone watches in joy, the tama tree blossoms its first few flowers and Flowertchi encourages everyone to keep up the fun. Kuchipatchi sticks a picnic basket on his head, draws a face on his belly, and manipulates it to make funny faces. This causes everyone to laugh and more blossoms to appear on the tree. Gozarutchi then offers to make himself disappear as a trick and vanishes into the air, surprising everyone. Mametchi scans his surroundings and finds a TAMAX-TV poster of Lovelin out of nowhere at the tree. Gozarutchi calls out to everyone that he bets they don't know where he is, but then realizes in horror that he used the wrong side of his camouflage poster. At the same time, the tama tree flowers have closed back up in their into their budding states.
Gozartuchi apologizes for messing up their progress and Flowertchi and Kuchipatchi frantically try to do their acts, but nothing happens. Makiko realizes they can't repeat the same thing over again so she faces Memetchi and tells them they have to do "their thing". Memetchi is concerned that they're not ready for it and points out that they don't even have a stage. However, Lovelitchi covers her and transforms the Lovelin Bus into a stage. After Makiko and Memetchi head into the bus to prepare they appear on stage, with Memetchi wearing a samurai wig and Makiko wearing an afro. They introduce themselves as the "Samurai-Afro Team" to an astonished audience and perform their comedy act full of slapstick. The audience just stares at them in confusion, but Chamametchi and Hapihapitchi are in love with the act, loudly laughing on the ground. The tree grows more blossoms and Makiko and Memetchi are impressed at their first act being a success.
Chamametchi and Hapihapitchi take the stage next to do a maraca dance that creates more blossoms on the tree. The tree is now full of flowers so Kuchipatchi suggests doing something to make the tree grow into full blossom. Memetchi thinks and then comes up with an idea: a fun song involving the stage and Lovelin herself. Lovelitchi then changes into Lovelin and goes up on stage to sing Lovely Day. With the musical performance, the tree grows even more flowers and the rest of the group except Mametchi join in to sing with her. This causes the tree to bloom very frantically into a gorgeous blossom tree. However, Flowertchi points out the tree isn't at full bloom yet and Memetchi suggests singing another song. Lovelitchi then realizes that Mametchi hasn't sung yet and invites him on stage to perform which scares Chamametchi and Hapihapitchi. When Mametchi agrees to sing they both make up excuses and run away in fear. Mametchi proceeds to sing a horrible rendition of Lovely Day which causes all the flowers on the tama tree to immediately fall off. Everyone watches in horror as the remaining flowers float to the ground while Mametchi continues singing off key.

- In the English version, the title of the first half, "Cheery Cherry Blossoms", is misspelled in its title card as "Cheery Cherry Bloosoms".
- During the part where Lovelitchi holds a white frilly dress, her shoes are missing.
