Chop! Gotchi Slices! (ズバッ! ごっちがきる! Zuba~tsu! Gotchi ga kiru!) is part 1 of episode 14 of Tamagotchi!. The episode is presented as an in-universe episode of Princess Lovelin.
Synopsis[]
At Tamagotchi Castle during feudal times, tomboy Princess Lovelin escapes from the castle and goes to Castle Town to have fun. However, she runs into an incident!
Plot[]
At Tamagotchi Castle, Memetchi reads a scroll containing a schedule for Princess Lovelin. She and her royal pet Hapihapitchi complain about how boring her lessons are, but Kuchipatchi insists she does them so she won't get in trouble. She then looks through a telescope and spots Makiko and Flowertchi being happy with the stuff they bought from the market. Princess Lovelin becomes upset and begs Memetchi and Kuchipatchi to let her go to town, with the two eventually reluctantly agreeing. However, Lovelin must wear a disguise when she goes out so she changes into a kimono and leaves with Memetchi, Kuchipatchi, and Hapihapitchi.
Meanwhile, Samurai Mametchi practices his technique and cuts up hay stands as Dorotchi complements his attack. He then goes out to patrol the town and keep it safe. The scene changes to Lord Kikitchi calling out to Togetchi, asking for the whereabouts of Lovelin. Togetchi responds that she's nowhere to be seen in the castle so Kikitchi orders him to find her.
At the town, Princess Lovelin enjoys her surroundings and spots Makiko and Flowertchi again, this time enjoying the creamy melon mochi they bought. She asks Memetchi and Kuchipatchi to buy some, but they say that her father wouldn't approve of her eating street food. Lovelin proceeds to whine incessantly until they break down and buy the mochi. Before she could eat one, Kuchipatchi stops her and says that he must test it for poison first. He ends up eating all the mochis and concludes that they're safe to eat, upsetting her. The scene changes to Memetchi, Hapihapitchi, and Lovelin enjoying a pile of melon mochi with Kuchipatchi lamenting his empty wallet.
Later on, Makiko and Flowertchi discover a kimono with the latest design: a cheetah print pattern. Lovelin incessantly whines again, wanting to try on the kimono. Unfortunately, after trying it on she quickly loses interests and throws it to the floor. Meanwhile, Togetchi searches for Lovelin who is still browsing around the town. Kuchipatchi says they should return, but Lovelin doesn't want to go back yet. Memetchi adds that she promised not to stay out too long, but she denies saying it.
Suddenly, a scream is heard. Three thugs have stolen something and are on the run as Detective Kuromametchi, Mimitchi, and Ringotchi are hot on their trail. Lovelin becomes curious and follows them, despite Kuchipatchi and Memetchi's protests that she shouldn't get involved in trouble. As the chase goes over a bridge, Kuromametchi states that the thugs stole an "exotic treasure from the west". Lovelin decides that she wants to catch the thieves, but Kuchipatchi insists again that she not get involved. Hapihapitchi then flies over and says she found the thug's hideout. The four arrive at a house in disrepair and they watch through a broken wall as one of the thugs hides the treasure under a floorboard and leaves with the other thugs. The gang go inside to look for the treasure and Memetchi pulls it out from under the floorboards. Lovelin says she must turn it in to the detectives and goes to leave, but the thugs are blocking the way out.
The gang runs away, but the thugs end up surrounding them outside. They threaten them to hand over the box, but Lovelin refuses. As one of them reaches out to grab the box from her, a fan is thrown at their arm. It's revealed to be from Samurai Mametchi who introduces himself as the master swordsman of Gotchi Castle. The thugs draw their swords and charge into him, but with lightning fast slashes, he defeats them all. The detectives arrive at the scene and detain the thieves as Mametchi says goodbye to Lovelin and walks away. Togetchi comes in and finally finds Lovelin, saying that Lord Kikitchi has been looking for her.
Back at the castle, Princess Lovelin arrives at Lord Kikitchi's chamber. He mentions the rare shipment of western treasure they received and calls in Togetchi who brings the same treasure box from earlier. She opens the box and the contents are revealed to be various kinds of donuts. Lady Chamametchi encourages Lovelin to enjoy the doughnuts and she picks one up with a smile.
