Cho~ritchi! Tamagotchi no Puchi Puchi Omisetchi (ちょ~りっち! たまごっち の プチ プチ おみせっち), translated as Super~ritchi! Tamagotchi's Little Shops-tchi, is a Nintendo 3DS game released exclusively in Japan as a part of the Tamagotchi Connection: Corner Shop series.
The game was released on April 19, 2012 and is a remake of the first Corner Shop game, with additional characters from the Tamagotchi! anime and full 3D visuals.
Gameplay[]
Like the other Corner Shop games, gameplay consists of the player working in a variety of shops with a Tamagotchi partner of their choice. The game adds Melodytchi, Moriritchi, Makiko, and Flowertchi as additional partner choices. Each shop is overseen by a Tamagotchi that interacts with the customers while the partner Tamagotchi takes the player's role in running the shop.
After serving a certain number of customers, Hapihapitchi will visit the shop and take the player to the Future Research Lab where they must create a product related to the shop. Once the product is created, the shop will be upgraded. The goal is to upgrade each shop until they reach royal status.
The game contains all the same shops as the first Corner Shop game, with the exception of the two combination shops and the Concert Hall; however, the Piano Studio from the third game was added as an additional shop. There was also the Violin Shop which was a separate downloadable shop from the Nintendo Eshop featuring Melodytchi.
The care mode has some new features such as previous customers visiting the player's house to play, collecting customer profiles and raising their relationship with the player, and throwing parties with up to three other customers.
The soundtrack consists of a mix of different tracks from the first four Corner Shop games, rather than solely using music from the first game.
List of Shops[]
Shops[]
Dental Clinic[]
The player helps Kikitchi run a dental clinic where they clean customers' teeth and perform other dental procedures. This involves brushing their teeth with the right color toothpaste, drilling cavities and removing cavity bugs that come out, replacing teeth, applying the right color of fluoride, and giving medicine if the customer is in pain.
Takoyaki Shop[]
The player helps Pichipitchi run a Takoyaki Shop where they cook takoyaki for customers. This involves oiling the grill, adding dough and requested ingredients, turning the Takoyaki over to avoid burning it, and then placing it into a container with toppings.
Bakery[]
The player helps Perotchi run a bakery where they decorate cakes for customers. This involves picking the right flavor of cake and then decorating it to the customer's specifications with icing, cream, and sweets.
Hot Spring Spa[]
The player helps Gozarutchi run a hot spring where customers take a relaxing bath. As the customers relax in the spring, they will request various things such as bath powders, shampoo, and drinks. The player must also keep the water temperature at a comfortable level, by adding more water to cool it down or adding firewood to heat it up.
Cleaners[]
The player helps Watawatatchi run a store where they clean and repair clothes. This involves placing the clothing into a washing machine with the right detergent, ironing the wrinkles out of them, and repairing any holes with patches.
Beauty Salon[]
The player helps Giragiratchi give customers Tamamori styled hairdos by placing an afro or headpiece on them and then decorating it with accessories.
Flower Shop[]
The player helps Uwasatchi run a flower shop by assembling flower bouquets. This is done by selecting the right flowers, wrapping paper, decorations, and putting it all together. Customers will ask for bouquets in specific sizes and colors
Accessory Shop[]
The player helps Chamametchi make necklaces and brooches for customers. This involves picking the right shape of necklace or brooch, selecting stones and nuts to decorate it with, and threading it all together.
Piano Studio[]
The player helps Prince Tamahiko teach the customers how to play the piano. Sections of the piano must be tapped in rhythm to the song being taught. After the lesson, the customer will perform the song on the piano, the quality of performance depending on how well the player did.
Violin Studio[]
The Violin Studio was a downloadable shop that could be bought from the Nintendo Eshop for 200¥. The shop was a standalone game that didn't require having the original game to play. The player could either play as Melodytchi and perform songs on her violin, similar to the piano shop, or play as Prince Tamahiko and perform songs on the piano at a concert hall.
Other Buildings[]
Player's House[]
The Player's House is the care mode where the player can feed the Tamagotchi snacks, throw a party, decorate the room, and change the music. Dengontoritchi stays at the house to relay any messages or gifts Tamagotchi have left for the player. Tamagotchi may also visit the house at random and the player can interact with them.
When throwing a party, the player can choose a theme (limited by what decorations they currently have) and up to three other guests. When the guests arrive, the player may do a variety of activities such as opening a party popper, playing a quiz, or participating in a gift swap. A meter on the bottom screen measures how lively the party is and it changes depending on how well the player performs at the activities.
Future Research Center[]
The player helps Hapihapitchi create new products for customers using a combination of ingredients from shops. The customer will request ingredients from a specific shop and the player must place them on a tray to send into the dream machine. If the player is missing a needed ingredient, it can be bought with gotchi points. Once the ingredients are put inside the machine, the 3DS must be rocked around to combine the ingredients. The finished product will then be completed and Hapihapitchi will call over the customer to pick it up. Completing customer requests will reward the player with decorations for their house.
If a shop is ready to be upgraded to the next stage, Hapihapitchi will appear at the shop and take the player to the Future Research Center to create a new product related to the shop. The shop is upgraded after the product is created and the player returns to the shop selection screen.
Patent Office[]
The Patent Office is similar to the Future Research Center, but is run by Necktietchi and is geared towards creating new products according to the Gotchi King's requests.
