Darumatchi (だるまっち) is a teen Akai Tamagotchi character that debuted on the Keitai Kaitsuu! Tamagotchi Plus Akai.
Name Origin[]
Darumatchi is based on, and named after, daruma dolls, a traditional doll from Japan. Popular around New Years, a person would paint in one eye to make a wish or set a personal goal, and paint in the other once it came true. After the new year, all dolls are brought back to the temple they came from for a traditional burning ceremony.
Appearance[]
Darumatchi resembles a Daruma doll. It is round and red, with white markings on its front. Its face is white, with eyes and a mustache, and no visible mouth. Like other characters featured on the Tamagotchi Akai, it has a red outline.
Personality[]
Darumatchi is a straightforward sort who would never tell a lie. It rolls around, making its opinions known. Because of its honesty, others feel comfortable sharing their feelings with it in turn.

Keitai Kaitsuu! Tamagotchi Plus Akai[]
Replacing Hinatchi, Darumatchi is obtained in even generations as the tier 4 Normal teen. It can become Mametchi, Kuchipatchi, Tengutchi, or Kurokotchi. Darumatchi sleeps from 9 PM to 10 AM.
Tamagotchi Mini[]
Darumatchi appears as a special adult exclusive to the Kaien version of the Tamagotchi Mini.. Replacing Oyajitchi, it can evolve from Maskutchi, Kuchipatchi, or Nyorotchi. If it is given good care until it passes away, the next Marutchi will evolve into Mikotchi.
Tamagotchi iD L[]
Darumatchi makes a cameo on the 15th Anniversary version of the Tamagotchi iD L. While not possible to raise, Darumatchi can appear when visiting Makkakka Town.
Tamagotchi Smart[]
Darumatchi is a NPC exclusive to the Kei-Tama Friends TamaSma Card for the Tamagotchi Smart. They appear during the Red Daruma item animation.

- Darumatchi is the only Akai Tamagotchi that has appeared on another virtual pet as a character that can be raised.
