Deviltchi (デビルっち Debirutchi), occasionally referred to as Koumori & Gaikotchi (こうもり&ガイコっち Koumori ando Gaikotchi), is a character that debuted on the Tamagotchi Angel and later appeared on the Debirutch no Tamagotch.
Name Origin[]
"Debiru" is a phonetically Japanese way of saying the English word "Devil".
Appearance[]
Deviltchi has a round body with his top half white and bottom half black, separated by a large, pink bill. He also has two stubby wings, two pointed horns, and short legs.
Personality[]
A pitiful figure that was once an Angel Tamagotchi, but it was corrupted by Gaikotchi and fell. He actually prefers it down below where he can spend happy days practicing "Devil Tango" dances.
Deviltchi likes to sneak into the Tenshitchi Capital and try to tempt young Angels to join him in the Devil World. Because of this, he's the sworn enemy of Chestnut Angel. However, in the Devil World, Deviltchi is only a low-ranking devil, and is still trying to work his way up.

Tamagotchi Angel[]
On Japanese editions of the Tamagotchi Angel, Deviltchi can be obtained if the Angel is made sick three times during a single stage (which can occur when the lights are turned off but the Angel is not sleeping, or when hearts are left empty for 12 consecutive hours), provided the Angel has not been alive long enough to qualify for a good end. Deviltchi cannot be cared for; he is one of the three Death screens of the toy (with the other two being the good end and the faceless Lucky Unchi-Kun). If he appears, the user must restart their unit or press A+C to start a new character.
On English editions, the animation of the Angel turning into him is replaced with a black egg, and the words "Bye bye!" appear. On the App edition, Deviltchi appears on the English version, obtained from severe neglect (but not from deliberately forcing the Angel to die).
Debirutch no Tamagotch[]
Deviltchi is one of the two possible characters the user may start with, the other being Devil Zuccitchi. A Deviltchi starts off with 60 Devil Power, and can evolve into either Devil Oyajitchi with high Devil Power or Ghost Deviltchi with low Devil Power.
Being an Elementary Devil, it does not partake in any of the exclusive events.
Deai Hakken!! Arukotch[]
Deviltchi is one of the Gotchi Boys that Arukotchi can date. If she chooses to marry him, he takes her to the Devil World and shows her a thunderstorm.
Tamagotchi iD L[]
Deviltchi appears as a NPC on the 15th Anniversary version when the user visits the Devil World.
Tamagotchi Uni[]
Deviltchi is a NPC that is exclusive to the Monster Carnival Tama Portal location on the Tamagotchi Uni. They can be encountered in an animation in Monster Square where they and Girl Deviltchi will take the Tamagotchi to Angel Festival to steal Chestnut Angel's and Ginjirotchi Angel's sweets. They also appear in the Haunted Puzzle minigame as one of the puzzles to be solved.
They can also be seen together with Chestnut Angel as the special Tama Search character "Angel & Devil", able to be met either while at certain World Tamagotchi Tour events or by setting the user's Wi-Fi SSID as "FyKHSZlwQCzTpGuDHrJclhA2Kq9vYNdP".

In episode "Buttamage Tenshitchi" of Anime TV de Hakken!! Tamagotchi, Deviltchi sneaks into the Tenshitchi Capital and attacks a new Ginjirotchi Angel. Chestnut Angel appears and manages to ward him off.

Deviltchi is one of the characters that Mikachu can find in the overworld at night and take a photo of. He also flies across the screen whenever Mikachu performs the wrong action when trying to befriend a Tamagotchi.
