Discovery! Secret of the Tama Desert Temple (発見! たまサバク 神殿の秘密 Hakken! Tama sabaku shinden no himitsu) is episode 101 of Tamagotchi!.
Synopsis[]
Tomomi, Mametchi and their friends explore a temple in the Tama Desert. While they are exploring, Mametchi falls into a hole and discovers a device which seems to have been used to pump water from an underground lake. The other Tamagotchis go looking for him, and he reunites with them safely. Then they wonder if they can recover the secret oasis of the Tama Desert.
Plot[]
At night, Mametchi reads "History of Tama Desert" which explains how an ancient tribe had become close with a giant Tama Heart that blessed them with rain that watered their crops. The next morning, he joins up with the Tama-friends and they ride the Lovelin Tour Bus in a day long journey to the Tama Desert, resting in a forest at night. They eventually reach the desert the next day, but are forced to stop when the Lovelin Bus is unable to drive over the sand. Luckily, there are Sand Taxis nearby and they ride them all the way to the temple ruins where the ancient tribe had lived.
The group makes it to the top of the temple and notice a small pond behind it, shrunken from its former bigger heart shape. The Tama Sand Chief then appears behind them and notes that the Tama Heart that made the oasis appear had long disappeared, taking much of the oasis with it. The Tama-friends explain that they came to learn more about Tama Hearts as they've been collecting them through Lovelitchi and Melodytchi's Tama Profys which interests the Tama Sand Tribe. Everyone is then seen in front of a stained glass window depicting a jar of flowing water as the Tama Sand Tribe clap in rhythm. The Tama Sand Chief further explains that this is how they used to get the Tama Heart to bring water, but it has not worked in a long time.
Mametchi looks discouraged and the Sand Chief invites them to spend the night at their village so they can rest and figure out what to do next. The scene changes to the girls in a large bedroom as Moriritchi expresses excitement. One of the Sand tribe girls asks Moriritchi about her Tamamori and she proceeds to decorate the whole room in Rain themed Tamamori to the girl's delight. In the kitchen, the rest of the Tama-friends prepare a curry for dinner. Mametchi notices the mechanical stirrer mixing the pot of curry, wondering what's powering it.
Outside, everyone gathers to eat dinner as the Tama Sand Chief introduces everyone. After finishing the curry, the Tama-friends show their Tama Profys as flashbacks are shown of them collecting Tama Hearts. The Tama Sand Chief asks Mametchi to follow him to his quarters to show him something and in the meantime, one of the sand tribe girls creates a sand drawing of Tomomi. Lovelitchi and Melodytchi then decide to perform Happy Heart to entertain the tribe. At the Tama Sand Chief's room, the chief hands Mametchi two pieces of paper detailing the location of the oasis' source. However, the two drawings are faint and hard to decipher.
The next day, Mametchi wakes up early and goes outside to decipher the drawings. After a breeze blows them out of his hands, he puts them together and realizes that they form a complete picture when overlapped. He finds his way into the hidden ruins and eventually falls deep into a cave which leads to a crystal pool. Meanwhile, everyone else wakes up and notices Mametchi is missing. They learn from the Tama Sand Chief where Mametchi has probably gone and search for him at the temple.
