Farewell, Tama-Friends! Spacytchi's Tearful Decision (あばよ たまとも! スペイシーっち涙の決断 Abayo tamatomo! Supeishītchi namida no ketsudan) is the 138th episode of the original Tamagotchi! anime. It is the final appearance of Spacytchi and his brothers in the original series.
Synopsis[]
The Spacey Brothers realize they have forgotten their original purpose of conquering Tamagotchi Planet after becoming friends with everyone. One day, Spacytchi dreams and remembers his purpose on the planet. He then decides to go on a journey to find himself. Rumors spread that the Spacey Brothers will move away as Spacytchi prepares for his departure.
Plot[]
At Tamagotchi School, Spacytchi enthusiastically answers Grippatchi's question and talks to Mametchi and friends about Memetchi and Makiko's rivalry. After school, he and his brothers help gather the children of Tamagotchi Preschool so they can listen to Melodytchi's performance and later help Imotchi find a pink ribbon she lost. The next day, Memetchi tells everyone how Spacytchi helped her sister out yesterday and Spacytchi is later seen playing a role in Vampire Mametchi at TAMAX-TV.
That night, Spacytchi dreams about finally taking over Tamagotchi Planet. As he delivers a speech from atop TAMAX-TV, Tamagotchis cheer for his victory from down below. However, the dream ends with him slipping from the building and falling down. Feeling bothered, Spacytchi sits on top of their base and his brothers ask him what's wrong. Spacytchi reflects on what they have done since arriving on Tamagotchi Planet and responds that they are nowhere close to achieving their goal. Instead, they have made friends with everyone in Tamagotchi Town and have grown too attached to them to effectively work at their goal. Spacytchi tells his brothers that they need to leave Tamagotchi Town so they can go on a journey to find themselves and figure out what they want.
The next morning, Spacytchi and his brothers visit a house and Uwasatchi watches them from afar. Uwasatchi then relays what she saw to the Tama-friends which shocks them. At the Spacy Brother's base, everyone packs up their things and gets ready to leave. Spacytchi takes out a camera and tells his brothers that they'll go around town to take pictures so they can take the memories with them. Their first stop is Waru Cafe where they take a group picture with the staff and bar patrons. Their next stop is Donuts Park where they used to live. The final stop is Tamagotchi School where Spacytchi takes a picture with Grippatchi before sitting in class.
Everyone in class acts strangely when Spacytchi arrives, trying their best not to stare at him. Spacytchi picks up a Tamamo Letter of Mametchi from his desk and reads it after school. The letter asks Spacytchi and his brothers to come to the cafeteria and they later head there. Spacytchi's class and friends surprise him with a party and he wonders what they're doing, assuming they're celebrating Mametchi's victory from the robot soccer tournament. The Tama-friends explain that they're throwing a surprise party for Spacytchi and his brothers realize that it's Spacytchi's birthday today. Everyone then has fun at the party and Melodytchi and Lovelitchi perform Smile For Tomorrow. As the song plays, scenes from the anime showing Spacytchi's time in Tamagotchi Town are shown.
At the end of the party, everyone gives Spacytchi and his brothers Tamamo Letters. Spacytchi tells everyone that he and his brothers are moving away from Tamagotchi Town and they become saddened by this news. Seeing everyone cry also makes Spacytchi and his brothers cry as they say they will miss them very much. Suddenly, the Birthday Tama Heart appears between them, formed by the Spacy Brothers' strong bond with everyone. Lovelitchi then collects it in her Tama Profy. At night time, the Spacy Brothers read their letters and are touched by what they're reading. Spacytchi decides to give up on his dream of taking over Tamagotchi Planet and tells his brothers that they're going to stay in Tamagotchi Town, saying that he values the friendships they've made.
In his excitement, Spacytchi accidentally presses the button to make Mini TAMAX-TV launch. The brothers are sent into space and the ship floats around Tamagotchi Planet. Akaspetchi dejectedly says they ended up leaving anyway and Spacytchi is annoyed at the situation. Back in Tamagotchi Town, the Tama-friends wait at the Tama Train Station and wonder where the Spacy Brothers are as they wanted to say goodbye to them.
