Hapihapitchi (ハピハピっち Hapihapitchi) is a female Tama Pet who belongs to the Mame Family. She debuted in the second Tamagotchi animated movie, Tamagotchi: Happiest Story in the Universe!, and her first virtual pet appearance was on the Tamagotchi Plus Color, before debuting as a Tama Pet on the Tamagotchi iD L.

Name Origin[]

Hapihapitchi comes from a spelling of the English word "Happy", the feeling of contentment and pleasure.

Appearance[]

Hapihapitchi resembles an animal-like fairy. She somewhat has the appearance of a lamb or a puppy. She has two white wings, two swirly pink horn-like ears on the sides of her head, and a heart-shaped stalk on her head. She has white fur (with a light pink tint) and a pink collar. She has rounded bangs on her forehead. She has a little pink nose and pink cheeks. Her eyes are small and brown with low, tiny round highlights.

Personality[]

Hapihapitchi is a sweet, angelic tamagotchi that has a magic power to make anyone happy. Whenever she senses someone sad nearby, she will flutter over to them and do whatever she can to make them happy again.

Hapihapitchi is a very popular Tama Pet, and is often called very cute. She is loved by both boy and girl Tamagotchis, because she makes them happier. She follows Chamametchi around and is also a friend of Telelin, sometimes giving Telelin rides in the sky. She also gets along well with other Tama Pets such as Puchiberitchi. She's sweet, kind, caring, gentle and devoted to making sure that she helps make others happy by doing good deeds for others. She gets along really well with Chamametchi, but they sometimes get into fights on rare occasions. She has also argued with Kikitchi in the anime. She adores sweets and is shown to have a love for baking, as shown in the episode "Pow! A Squabble Between Siblings?".

Speech Habits[]

Hapihapitchi is known to make a high-pitched howling/barking sound, "arf/aroo," after everything she says. This is also known as a happy puppy-like "wan" (ワン) bark in Japanese. Furthermore, she repeats phrases that other Tamagotchis say (usually Chamametchi or Princess Lovelin). In the original Japanese version of anime, she also speaks in the third person for herself, whereas she speaks in ordinary third person in the English dub. She often says "happy happy" when she is happy, such as when she was first created.

On Virtual Pets[]

Tamagotchi iD L[]

Hapihapitchi is obtainable as a tama pet. She appears at Donut Park between 12 PM to 3 PM and must be encountered 3 times to be adopted.

Tamagotchi: Happiest Story in the Universe[]

HSU MametchiProject4

Hapihapitchi was originally going to be an item, not a living creature, called "Happy".  However, when Mametchi was activating his creation a series of events caused various things to fall into his creation, leading to Hapihapitchi's birth. Hapihapitchi spends a lot of time bringing happiness to other Tamagotchis using her happy power.

At first everyone is delighted by this and Mametchi is proud, but soon people begin to rely solely on Hapihapitchi to make them happy and refuse to deal with things themselves. Additionally, when Hapihapitchi tries to make Kikitchi happy, it doesn't work because of his cynicism. These events cause Mametchi to realize that Tamagotchi shouldn't be forced to be happy, and decide Hapihapitchi should stop using her powers.

HSU Saved5

When Mametchi and friends go to rescue Kikitchi from the World's Happiest Story book, Hapihapitchi uses her happy powers to keep the book from falling apart while Happy tries to remember the end of the story. She ends up using her entire reserve of happiness which saves everyone, but causes her to lose her life energy. Mametchi begs everyone to be happy so Hapihapitchi can take their happiness and live, but everyone is too upset by her dying. Luckily, Happy repays Hapihapitchi for helping him remember the end of the story by giving her all his happiness.

Tamagotchi Original Animations[]

Hapihapitchi appears in two Tamagotchi OVA episodes. In "Mametchi's Picture Diary", she is seen hanging out with Mametchi and friends as they play together. The episode "Hapihapitchi is Popular?!" follows Hapihapitchi as she goes around making everyone's day better with her happiness power.

Tamagotchi![]

In the Tamagotchi anime series, Hapihapitchi has become a part of the Mame Family and is treated more like a relative than a pet. She sleeps in Chamametchi's room and follows her around everywhere, sometimes sitting on her head. Like many characters, she is a huge fan of Lovelin. She sometimes joins Kikitchi, Memetchi's sister Imotchi, and Chamametchi on their adventures.

She has a main role in "Hapihapitchi Helps Out!" where she helps Winditchi find her brother Whirltchi after she was blown away in a game of hide and seek. Along the way, she helps out other Tamagotchis with their problems.

In "Pow! A Squabble Between Siblings?" she gets in a fight with Chamametchi and runs away from home. She is later taken to Lovelitchi's home after being found in the middle of the road, tired and hungry. Eventually, Chamametchi and Mametchi come over to pick her up and she fights with Chamametchi again, causing Mametchi to angrily tell them both off. It's then revealed that Chamametchi had brought two cakes to share with Hapihapitchi. She apologizes for running away and hugs Chamametchi, saying that they should always stay together.

Hapihapitchi teams up with Telelin in "Pink! Heart! Messengers-wan!" to help Tamagotchis by delivering messages between them. However, Telelin ends up overworking Hapihapitchi and she quits their team. Telelin struggles to work by herself until Hapihapitchi comes back to save her from incoming rain. Telelin then apologizes to Hapihapitchi and the two continued to team up when delivering messages or searching for something such as in "Hurry to Find Memories! Lovelin Car".

In "Good Luck! Big Tama Pet Race", Hapihapitchi enters a race with other tama pets. She initially has the advantage of flying and is able to fly over all the obstacles until a giant fly swatter smacks her back to the start line. She later catches up to the other pets, but is distracted by a barbecue Spacytchi cooks to keep everyone but Pipospetchi from reaching the finish line. When Kizunatchi is able to exist outside the Tama Profy in "Happy to Be Outside! Kizunatchi", one of the things she wants to do is fly with Hapihapitchi. However, she eventually becomes tired and rides on Hapihapitchi who is already carrying Telelin and Pashalin. Hapihapitchi ends up returning to the TamaCafe exhausted from the weight.

In "The Last Tama-Mizuki" Hapihapitchi gets into a fight with Chamametchi again after she accidentally flies into Harukazetchi and Chamametchi doesn't show concern towards for her. The two refuse to talk to each other until they eventually work together to restore the Tama-Mizuki tree. Hapihapitchi admits she was wrong to think Chamametchi didn't care for her and apologizes.

At the end of "Shock! The Eggification Doesn't Stop" Hapihapitchi is turned into an egg by the Eggification curse with the rest of the Mame family. She is returned to normal in "The Power of the Bond".

Happy Power[]

Hapihapitchi when happy.

When Hapihapitchi sees a person who is tired or sad, she releases a pink glowing light which is happiness that she absorbs from people that are happy. This happiness also makes flowers bloom.

When Hapihapitchi is near by someone who is sad, her heart on her head will turn blue and begin beeping. The only way to stop it, is to release some of her absorbed happiness on the person, which makes the person happy. However, when Hapihapitchi runs out of happiness, the heart on the stalk on her head becomes dark blue and Hapihapitchi will become very weak. The only way to save Hapihapitchi is to put her in the hands of someone very happy.

Hapihapitchi no longer uses her happy power, the reason why is because if Hapihapitchi uses up all her happy power, she will die. She still helps people out to make them happy whenever someone needs it, doing so through other means. Her happy heart on her head still works though, and helps her find those in need.
