Asari-chan	12/24/2005	In volume 79, chapter 1358, features a parody of Tamagotchi known as "Tagametchi" (たがめっち), which resembles a Tamagotchi, except it has a pair of bug eyes at the top and six bug legs.
FoxTrot	8/18/1997	The first of six strips of Bill Amend's FoxTrot comics feature Paige receiving what she thinks is a Tamagotchi from her father, before realizing that it's a "Tamagrouchy" instead. Upon realization, the Tamagrouchy demands to be fed.
	8/19/1997	The second of these strips depicts Paige comparing Tamagotchis to her Tamagrouchy. Her father tells her to give it a chance, which the Tamagrouchy echoes, and Paige frustratingly tells her device to be napping.
	8/20/1997	The third of these strips depict the Tamagrouchy still demanding to be fed, and then telling Paige to guess what happens when it isn't fed, to which Paige responds with death. However, the Tamagrouchy soon retaliates and says that its immortal.
	8/21/1997	The fourth of these strips shows the Tamagrouchy giving Paige complicated instructions for one glass of water, desiring six dozen. Paige responds by putting the Tamagrouchy in a real glass of water.
	8/22/1997	The fifth of these strips depicts the Tamagrouchy refusing to go to sleep, much to the utter annoyance of Paige. The Tamagrouchy then states that it runs on Moscow time as a result of a button error and demands breakfast from Paige. She then prepares to slam the Tamagrouchy with a baseball bat, but it goes right to sleep as a result.
	8/23/1997	The sixth and final strip depicts Paige's older brother Peter asking her if she threw the Tamagrouchy away. She denies, but complains about the difficulty of managing it. Her younger brother Jason reprograms the Tamagrouchy, which tells Paige to give Jason money on top of its ill-mannered care demands.
Pugad Baboy	1998	In the "Matrona" arc of Pugad Baboy X, Girlie complains about having to sleep alone. Bab tells her that he will send his friend Dongski to sleep with her, who just so happens to be Bab's Tamagotchi.
Things From the Flood	2016	In one story, a young hacker claims to have captured a robot using a Tamagotchi and fishing line.
Yu-Gi-Oh!	1997	In Chapter 21 of the manga, the main characters and other school students become hooked on virtual pets, which are modeled after Tamagotchi. One of their classmates, Kujirada, has grown his character into a monster which eats the other pets. Yugi's pet, U2, is able to defeat Kujirada' monster.

The Amazing World of Gumball	10/6/2017	In the episode The Puppets (S5E40), one of the toys Darwin finds as he and Gumball are looking for old toys in the attic to sell at a garage sale is a "digi-pet" that looks exactly like a Tamagotchi device except with two buttons on the front instead of three. Darwin tries to get it to work, but then assumes it ran out of batteries and throws it back into the box, where the words "CLEAN ME" appear on its screen.
	6/24/2019	In the episode The BFFs (S6E43), central antagonist Fuzzy, who resembles the Furby toys from Hasbro, mentions that he has a friend named Hank. Toward the end of the episode, as Fuzzy prepares to attack Gumball and Darwin, Hank, whose appearance is fashioned after Kuchipatchi, finally appears and takes Fuzzy away.
Animaniacs	11/20/2020	In the 2020 Animaniacs reboot episode "Suspended Animation Pt 1." (S1E1b), a Tamagotchi device is briefly seen.
The Big Bang Theory	2/9/2012	In the episode The Vacation Solution (S5E16), in response to Amy questioning his experience in biology, Sheldon pulls out a Tamagotchi that he's been raising since 1998 and claiming it to still be alive.
Bob's Burgers	5/1/2022	In the episode "A-Sprout a Boy" (S12E19), Gene becomes obsessed with a virtual pet called "Purrbo" where he must take care of a cat by dressing them in different clothes. The toy somewhat resembles a Tamagotchi (with one of the icons being similar to the Discipline icon) and it's mentioned that Purrbo was popular back in the 90s
Code Lyoko	2006	In the episode "False Lead" (S3E4), Odd owns and is obsessed with a virtual pet called a "Tamaguchi", featuring a pet named "Jean-Pierre" who looks similar to Tarakotchi. At the end of the episode, Odd discovers that Yumi swiped the pet from him so that she and her friends could help him to get over his addiction, and Yumi gives the toy to her younger brother Hiroki; when the pet dies, Hiroki throws the handheld into the street and lets it be run over by a car.
Fan Boy & Chum Chum	11/7/2009	The episode Digital Pet Cemetery (S1E4) revolves around Fanboy and Chum Chum taking care of a "Yamaguchi" digital pet owned by Yo, their Japanese-American friend. When Fanboy overfeeds it to the point of it not working anymore, he and Chum Chum accidentally make it turn into a zombie when they bury it in a sacred grave in a graveyard.
Gravity Falls	8/1/2014	In the episode Scary-Oke (S2E1), one of the items shown in Grunkle Stan's Contraband box is a Tamagotchi virtual pet.
Jeopardy	6/15/2019	In a game that took place in Summer 2019, Eric, one of the contestants, selected "Remember the 1990s" for $1000. "In the late 90's, this toy from Bandai helped you attempt adulting by raising a digital pet," late host Alex Trebek described. Becky, another contestant, mispronounced it as Tomatogotchi, subtracting $1000 from her $1200. E.J., the third contestant, answered with the correct pronunciation, bringing his total score to $2800.
Nana Moon	2013	This Chinese animated series is a cartoon adaptation of a series of virtual pet toys that look and function very much like Tamagotchis. A few of these toys can be seen in the show's end credits sequence. The toys' manufacturer, M&D, have also produced counterfeit Tamagotchi toys with both Tamagotchi branding and the QPet branding from the Nana Moon toys on them.
No Time to Die	8 October 2021	In the James Bond film, Madeleine Swan is seen playing with a toy resembling a Tamagotchi, but with cat ears. It makes the same attention call beeps as a connection Tamagotchi. Later on, the toy beeps which draws the murderous Safin's attention to Madeleine who is hiding under a bed.
The Owl House	8/7/21	In the episode "Eclipse Lake" (S2E9), Luz and Amity use handheld devices that look like Tamagotchis to communicate with each other.
Robot Chicken	9/29/2019	A segment in the episode Ginger Hill in: Bursting Pipes (S10E1) depicts two children briefly caring for their Tamagotchis, then quickly tossing them out in favor of Moon Shoes. The Tamagotchis, revealed to be Hashizoutchi and Maskutchi, take note of the children's short attention spans but pass away from too much fecal matter left unattended shortly after.
Schooled	1/23/2019	In the episode Tamagotchis and Bells (S1E3), Tom Scott was playing with his Tamagotchi in the middle of a P.E. Dodgeball session, much to the annoyance of the coach, Rick Mellor. Scott is soon followed by his peers, and by extension the whole school, leading to Mellor confiscating them. He decides to try one for himself, and soon has a change of heart, becoming motivated to being a real parent.
The Tonight Show Featuring Jimmy Fallon	6/18/2020	In Summer 2020, a skit on the talk show showed a parody commercial of the return of Tamagotchi, primarily showing commercial footage from the Tamagotchi On (and strangely, the On's predecessor, Tamagotchi Friends, as well), while a pixelated voiceover representing the Tamagotchi, believing it should remain in the 1990's, requests to be put out of its misery.
Turning Red	March 2022	In the Pixar film Turning Red, Mei Mei owns a virtual pet throughout the film, worn on her backpack and makes the same sound effects as the original Tamagotchi. In the film's climax, after her mother Ming's talisman sealing her red panda form is broken, the spirit is resealed inside the virtual pet.
Twenty-Five Twenty-One	February 2022	In S1E02 of the Korean drama Twenty-Five Twenty-One, Yang Chan-mi can be seen playing with a Tamagotchi Angel as she instructs the fencing club on their exercises.
Up Schitt's Creek		In season 5 of the TV series, David brings up how he left six adult Tamagotchis in perfect health with Alexis to care of and came back to all of them being dead. He adds that she would have had to actively murder them for it to happen.
Yo-Kai Watch	2020	In an episode of Yo-kai Watch Jam - Yo-kai Academy Y: Close Encounters of the N Kind, a character is seen playing a mobile game that has a striking resemblance to LINE de Hakken!! Tamagotchi.
Yo-kai Watch♪	October 7, 2022	The endcards of S1E75 of Yo-kai Watch♪ featured Mametchi and Kuchipatchi with characters of the anime. Subsequent episodes would feature more Tamagotchi characters in the endcards.
Yu-Gi-Oh!	5/16/1998	Chapter 21 of the manga, where the main characters and other students become hooked on virtual pets resembling tamagotchis, was adapted into episode seven of the first series anime (informally known as Season 0 to distinguish it from the second series anime).
	2/26/2002	In episode 96 of the second series anime, Yugi enters his soul room which has toys and games scattered all over the floor. One of these is a Tamagotchi.
Zombie Land Saga	10/4/2018-12/20/2018	Throughout the course of the anime, the character Saki Nikaido is shown to have a fondness for Tamagotchi virtual pets and owns a P1. Despite her fondness with the device, her Tamagotchi repeatedly evolves into Oyajitchi. In another episode, Saki sees Maimai's 20th anniversary Tamagotchi m!x and is amazed at how it's in color. She then asks if Oyajitchi is in it and upon confirmation, replies that she should kill him again.

Call of Duty	3/3/2020	Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019) features an in-game item called the "Tomogunchi", available in the in-game Item Shop after a post-release update. Basing its name and function off of Tamagotchi, its evolution and lifespan are determined by how often the played feeds it and monitors its mood in addition to how well the player performs in game. An updated version, "Tomogunchi Turbo", was released in August 2020, featuring a colored screen and 14 unlockable gun charms.
Chibi-Robo	6/23/2005	One of the items that Chibi-Robo can find in the first Chibi-Robo game is a Keitai Kaitsuu Tamagotchi Plus. It is found in the basement after the game's main story is completed, and after giving it to Mr. Sanderson, it can be interacted with on the living room table. The screen will show either Young Mametchi or Young Oyajitchi, and depending on the character's behavior, the player can either scold, pet, or turn off the lights. Interacting with the Tamagotchi will reward the player with the Tamagotchi sticker. The shell of the Tamagotchi is red in the Japanese version of the game, and light blue in the international versions.
Destiny 2	2019	One of the Ghost Shells collectible by the player, namely the "Digital Pet Shell", is based on a Tamagotchi device.
Hypnospace Outlaw	3/12/2019	The SquisherZ character, Yuckey, is based off of a Tamagotchi in design with their screen having a sprite that resembles Mimitchi. The SquisherZ Rap in game describes Yuckey as "making beeping noises". Yuckey's name was also originally Tamagooey before being changed to avoid the direct reference.
Mia's Reading Adventure: The Bugaboo Bugs	2007	When the player starts a new save file, the game prompts the player to choose how difficult the in-game activities will be. Four Tamagotchis are used to display and select difficulties. Afterward, three more Tamagotchis are used to display different game options.
Robopon	12/4/1998	The design of Crowle bears a strong resemblance to Oyajitchi.
Secret Little Haven		The main character Alex plays a game called "Egg Friend" that features a pet in an egg-shaped interface. The game having "egg" in its title is a pun, as "egg" is a slang term for a person who is obviously transgender but does not yet realize that, a description which fits Alex.
Mario Kart Arcade GP 2	3/14/2007	Mario Kart Arcade GP 2, the second arcade entry in the Mario Kart spin-off series, features Mametchi as a playable driver and Bagubagutchi as one of his special items. The Stadium Arena and Waluigi Stadium courses also contain several Tamagotchi advertisements and cameos.
Taiko no Tatsujin	2011	Several songs from the anime, such as GO-GO! Tamagotchi!, I★my★me★mine!, Doremi Fasorairo, Rock 'N' Heart!, and Miracle☆Travel, appear as playable songs in various versions of the game from 2011 onward. Depending on the version, costumes for Don-Chan can also be obtained, such as those based on Mametchi and Yumemitchi.

Digimon	1997	Digimon was initially a spin-off for Tamagotchi, designed by Bandai to increase the brand's appeal to boys. As such, Digimon has made a handful of references to its distaff counterpart: Nanimonis a Digimon counterpart of Oyajitchi, having a similar albeit more masculine appearance and a similar personality. Wizardmon's staff is modeled after a Tamagotchi virtual pet. The alarm clock attached to Belphemon's Sleep Mode is also modeled after a Tamagotchi virtual pet.
Magical Witches	1998	Magical Witches was another series of virtual pets released by Bandai in 1998, focusing on connectivity much like Digimon. One of the stage two Balaluna Witches, the Earthlin Saint, the Eneruge Satan and the Aquary Wiseman are based off Zuccitchi, Kuchipatchi, Oyajitchi and Mametchi respectively.

Fate/EXTRA	2/11/2021	The Extellatchi is a Tamagotchi Nano variant themed after the Fate/EXTELLA games. It was released exclusively as part of the "Fate/EXTELLA Celebration BOX" (commemorating the 10th anniversary of Fate/EXTRA's release).
Neon Genesis Evangelion	6/13/2020	Evatchi, a Tamagotchi Nano variant themed after Neon Genesis Evangelion, was set to be released in Japan on June 2020. It was originally going to coincide with the film Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon A Time, but the film was postponed due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Tokyo Disneyland	4/2/2019 4/22/2019	Pocket Usatama, a Tamagotchi Nano variant themed after Usatama, one of Tokyo Disneyland's Easter Mascots, was released in April 2017. It was re-issued in April 2019.
	4/22/2019	Pocket Usapiyo, a Tamagotchi Nano variant themed after Usapiyo, another Easter Mascot for Tokyo Disneyland, ws released at the same time that the Pocket Usatama was re-issued.

Arabian Nights	6/13/2019	One of the exclusive areas in the Fantasy version of Tamagotchi Meets is named Arabian Night, named and themed after the main setting of most arabian folk tales. Also exclusive to this version are new forms for Melodytchi and Kuchipatchi respectively fashioned after a typical arabian princess and the genie from Aladdin & the Wonderful Lamp.

Haneru no Tobira	February 2005	Two Tamagotchis based on the Japanese variety show were made available in Japan in the mid-2000s. The first, Hanerutchi 1, was released in early 2005. The second, Hanerutchi 2, was released in 2006.

Pororo the Little Penguin	3/14/2011	The character Sunopotchi bears a striking resemblance to the titular character, given that both look like penguins (Pororo himself is a penguin, but Sunopotchi is a Tamagotchi), wear hats and goggles, and like snow sports.

Indiana Jones	7/16/2012	In the episode "Pinch! Gotchi King Is Boiling!?", one of the traps Adobentchi unintentionally sets off in the temple is a large boulder that chases after him and the others, in reference to the iconic scene from the first film, Raiders of the Lost Ark.
Pretty Cure	12/1/2008	In the Let's Go! Tamagotchi episode "Super Heroine Chamametchi", Chamagirl's outfit resembles the one worn by Cure Dream, the main protagonist of Yes! Pretty Cure 5.
Power Rangers/Super Sentai	6/12/2014	One of the outfits Miraitchi wears for Madamtchi and Watchlin to review in the beginning of the 1st part of GO-GO Tamagotchi!'s 11th episode "Dokidoki! Audition Soon" resembles a uniform typically worn by the Rangers, with with the top of the helmet displaying a bird's face.
Ren & Stimpy	1997	In Tamagotchi Video Adventures, when Mimitchi and Pochitchi present a television set from The Earth to Cosmotchi, they respectively play the parts of Ren and Stimpy, even saying their respective catchphrases ("Happy happy, joy joy!" "You eeeeediot!"). Cosmotchi replies to their acting by saying, "Fascinating, yet disturbing somehow."
Star Trek	1997	In Tamagotchi Video Adventures, Mametchi's artifact for the Tamagotchi Museum is a hand from a planet named Vulcan making the trademark Vulcan salute.
Titanic	11/12/2012	In the Tamagotchi! Yume Kira Dream episode Queen of Tears vs. Yume Kira Comedians, Himespetchi fantasizes herself outside a cruise ship with her arms outstretched and Ikemen Mametchi holding her in an identical fashion to Rose and Jack in the iconic "I'm Flying" scene. Later in the fantasy, in a subversion of the film's events, Ikemen Mametchi prevents the cruise from colliding with an incoming iceberg by steering the ship away from it.
