Safetytchi (安全おばっち Anzenobatchi) is a female parent Tamagotchi who is Uwasatchi's mother. She debuted in Tamagotchi!.

Name Origin[]

Safetytchi's English name comes from the word 'safety'. She is called this because she helps teach children street safety. Her Japanese name, Anzenobatchi, comes from the Japanese word anzen which means safety, and oba which refers to a middle-aged woman.

Appearance[]

Safetytchi has cream skin, pink lips, and purple eyes. She has a plump body and wears a green dress with a light blue tie and a yellow strap. Her hair resembles a green bush with yellow flowers.

Personality[]

Safetytchi is very much like her daughter, Uwasatchi. She is often spying on people for new, interesting gossip. When she finds enough gossip, she tells everyone about them on her radio gossip show, along with Uwasatchi and her gossip findings. Uwasatchi admires her and that is why she likes to gossip too. In the Japanese dub, she ends whatever she says with zamasu (ざます).

Safetytchi is also the safety officer at Tamagotchi School, and is often seen helping the children cross the roads near by the school.

In the Anime[]

Tamagotchi![]

Safetytchi is a minor character in Tamagotchi! (anime) who sometimes appears in the background. She is the safety officer at Tamagotchi School, and is often seen helping the children cross the roads near by the school.

She has a main role in "The Power of Gossip!" where it's revealed that she is Uwasatchi's mother and has the same drive for gossip as her daughter. She catches Memetchi's fury by telling a rumor that says her hair curl is fake and she is actually bald, in addition to claiming that Mametchi sleeps in Heroine Lovelin pajamas. Memetchi gets payback by making up a rumor where Safetychi's hair is green cotton candy, but this morphs into her having a lucky 4-leaf clover in her hair. At the end of the episode, she is chased by an angry mob who are after the "lucky clover" or "cotton candy hair".

In "Battle On! The Great Donut Contest!" she is part of the judge panel in the Homemade Donut Contest along with Donutchi and Necktietchi.

Trivia[]

  • Safetytchi's green theming in her appearance may be a reference to what safety crossing guards are called in Japan: "Auntie Green" (Midori no Obasan). Her outfit resembles the green uniform that Japanese safety crossing guards wear along with the yellow sash.
