Uranaitchi (うらないっち Uranaitchi), is an adult female Tamagotchi character and a well-known fortune teller on Tamagotchi Planet. She debuted on the Tamagotchi Connection Version 5 Celebrity.
Name Origin[]
Her Japanese name comes from the word uranaishi (占師), which means fortune-teller. Her English name, Gypsytchi, comes from the word "gypsy", an exonym for the Romani people. In modern context, the word is considered pejorative, due to being associated with stereotypes about the Romani people.
Appearance[]
Uranaitchi has pale lavender skin, pink cheeks, and purple eyes. She wears a purple cloak with a hood that has a pink heart on the tip. She has many pink beads around her face. She is often seen holding a crystal ball.
Personality[]
Uranaitchi is very mysterious as she normally disappears and reappears a lot along with her fortune teller tent. Her tent used to be found on the well known area of Tamagotchi Town, near the preschool and photo shop. It has now has disappeared and moved to a secret alley on Tama Street. The only way to find her is to ask Tamastetchi who will call and connect the person to her.
She talks very slowly and uses her ball to tell the future. In Japanese, she ends every sentence with かもー kamō. In the English dub of the anime, she frequently begins her sentences with "maybe" (the English equivalent of かも).

Uranaitchi has a main role in the episode "It Might Be Good~! Uranaitchi's Divination" where she tells the fortunes of Mametchi, Memetchi, Makiko, and Kuchipatchi after they spend some time looking for her. At first, they are frustrated with how she doesn't give a straight answer in her predictions, but soon come to believe her when their fortunes come true in unexpected ways.

In Tamagotchi Connection: Corner Shop 3, Uranaitchi is unlocked near the end of the game. She can read the player's fortunes for each day, as well as tell the player's compatibility with another person.
