The • Earth! Goodbye, Tomomi (ジ・アースへ!さよならともみ Ji āsu e! Sayonara Tomomi To) is episode 106 of Tamagotchi!.

Synopsis[]

Mametchi works hard to make a rocket to return Tomomi from Tamagotchi Planet to Earth.

Plot[]

Lovelitchi and Melodytchi hurry to a field to say goodbye to Tomomi who's leaving on a rocket ship Mametchi built. As Mametchi makes a speech about the ship, everyone else there wonders if the ship will work unlike the others one that have failed. Uwasatchi then details the previous failures: the first ship was too small for Tomomi to enter, the fourth's launching station left instead, and the ninth circled around Tamagotchi Planet before crashing back to the launching site. In the present, the twelfth fails to launch at all. As everyone leaves the field, Tomomi seems relieved to not leave yet. Meanwhile, the Spacy brothers look at the ship and wonder what Tomomi is using it for.

At the TamaCafe, Lovelitchi's family eat dinner and talk about Mametchi's multiple attempts to build a rocket. Lovepapalitchi and Lovemamalitchi ask Tomomi if she has any friends she misses back on Earth and this seems to make Tomomi uncomfortable. Noticing this, Lovelitchi changes the subject and later at night, Tomomi sadly looks at her profile book before going to sleep.

The next day at Tamagotchi School, Mametchi shows up late to class looking exhausted. He collapses in the middle of talking to Grippatchi and is taken to Ms. Houtaiko's office to rest. He wakes up to Tomomi sitting next to his bed and explains that he was busy yesterday trying to figure out what was wrong with the rocket, forgetting to eat. Mametchi then apologizes for taking so long to get Tomomi home, Tomomi reassures him that it's okay and offhandly mentions that she might not be ready to leave yet. Mametchi tries to ask her why, but gets an idea for how to fix the rocket ship. The next scenes show him hard at work creating a machine late into nighttime and looking drowsy at school.

Mametchi finally finishes his machine and goes to TamaCafe to get everyone to look at it. Back at the launch site, Mametchi reveals his machine to be an octopus shaped robot that will examine and talk to the rocketship to diagnose its problems. The robot does its job and reports back to Mametchi that there are no problems with the rocket; it just refuses to launch because it will feel lonely by itself in space to everyone's shock. Mametchi then decides to build a second rocket to fix this problem and the next day a goodbye party is held at the Tamamori Shop for Tomomi.

Everyone enjoys food from the TamaCafe and dresses up in Tamamori. After Tomomi performs her magic show, she looks sad and begins to explain her sadness before quickly pretending that she is okay. Lovelitchi and Kizunatchi then announce to everyone that they should make letters for Tomomi to take home and read. The scene changes to the Tama-friends writing and folding up their letters before handing it to Tomomi. As Mametchi hands his letter to her he also returns Tomomi's cellphone and apologizes for forgetting to give it back.

After the party, everyone from Tamagotchi School heads to the launching site where Mametchi's two rocket ships are ready to launch. Tomomi boards the ship as everyone bids her farewell. The two ships successfully launch into space and everyone intently waits wondering if Tomomi finally gets to go home. As the smoke from the launch clears, Lovelitchi notices an egg on the launch platform and brings Mametchi's attention to it. To everyone's shock, Tomomi is inside and the rocket seems to have left her inside there. Mametchi is upset that he has failed again, but Tomomi tells him again that it's alright, saying that she is just happy to spend more time with her friends and is confident that Mametchi will eventually get it right.
