The Great Chocolate Scramble! (ソーダツ! エブリーラブリンチョコ So-datsu! Eburi Raburin choko) is part 1 of episode 23 of Tamagotchi!.
Synopsis[]
Tama Street is holding the "Treasure Hunt Heart Chocolate Competition Game". The pair who finds the most chocolates hidden on the street will receive a year's worth of chocolates! Mametchi and friends decide to participate. How will the game go?
Plot[]
The episode starts at the final round of "Lovelin's Chocolate Treasure Hunting" as Lovelin and Tamastetchi explain the game's rules: there are egg shaped capsules with various amounts of Lovelin's pink chocolate hearts hidden throughout Tama Street. Whoever finds the most chocolate hearts will win the grand prize of a year's supply of the chocolate hearts. Lovelin then introduces the final contestants: Mametchi, Chamametchi, Kuchipatchi, Memetchi, Kikitchi, Makiko, Gozarutchi, and the Spacy Brothers. After the introduction, Tamastetchi adds that the contestants will be paired randomly and must stay in a loop for the whole game. If a teammate leaves the loop, points will be deducted so teamwork is required. The contestants then draw straws and proceed to team up with the one with the same color.
Once the partners have been decided Tamastetchi fires a pistol to start the game. As the contestants search for the chocolates, Lovelin commentates on their progress. Gozarutchi drags Mametchi towards a building to climb which causes Mametchi to feel scared as they scale the tall building. Memetchi uses her curl to find the chocolates with Kuchipatchi who is unsure of her ability. After Memetchi's curl fails to find anything, they decide to rely on Kuchipatchi's sense of smell which nets them some chocolate. Back at the starting position, Kuromametchi desperately tries to pull at Nemutchi who is fast asleep on the ground. This causes Kuromametchi to fall backwards out of the loop and Tamastetchi penalizes them with a point loss, much to Kuromametchi's disappointment.
Elsewhere, Chamametchi and Pipospetchi converse near a fountain with Chamametchi understanding everything Pipospetchi is saying. After Chamametchi praises Pipospetchi he blushes and they go off to find the capsules. At a nearby park, Kikitchi and Makiko are struggling to go in one direction as Makiko refuses to go Kikitchi's way, concerned that her curls will be messed up from going through the bushes. On Tama Street, Spacytchi tries to explain how chocolate they can eat each day if they win to Akaspetchi who only gets more confused with each explanation. Eventually, Spacytchi snaps at Akaspetchi and tells him to calculate it himself.
Meanwhile, Gozarutchi and Mametchi have managed to climb to the top of the building to discover a capsule with 3 chocolates inside. Mametchi then lies down from exhaustion and the scene changes to Kuchipatchi and Memetchi a capsule of chocolate. Memetchi asks where the chocolate they collected went and Kuchipatchi nervously replies that they're in his stomach. She briefly gets angry at Kuchipatchi, causing him to tumble backwards, leave the loop, and inadvertently eat even more chocolate. Lovelin notes that the eaten chocolates won't count in their score and their score is brought down to negative one for Kuchipatchi leaving the loop. The scene changes again to Chamametchi and Pipospetchi who are successfully finding chocolates, putting them at 20 points. Elsewhere, Gozarutchi and Mametchi try to climb a pole which ends in Mametchi falling down and out of the loop, giving them a penalty.
At the starting point, Kuromametchi stands in the loop looking even more disappointed as Nemutchi continues sleeping. The scene goes to back to Kikitchi begging Makiko to move closer to him so he can grab a capsule in an alleyway. She refuses and pulls away from the alleyway, still concerned about her curls getting messed up. At TAMAX-TV, Gozarutchi and Mametchi have successfully made it to the top to find a capsule with 5 chocolates. The game then ends and the contestants return to the starting point to stand on stages which rises up depending on their point total. Lovelin tallies up the scores and announces Chamaetchi and Pipospetchi as the winners with 28 points. As the group stands around the year's supply of chocolate, they congratulate the pair and Mametchi asks how they managed to get so many chocolates. Chamametchi responds that she has no idea, causing everyone to fall on the floor in exasperation.
Later that night, Spacytchi tries to take a chocolate from Pipospetchi who is shoving them in his mouth. Pipospetchi slaps his hand away and waggles his finger at them, warning them not to touch his chocolates. The other two brothers then back away in fear of his warning.
