Ciaotchi (ちゃおっち Chaotchi) is a female Tamagotchi character that was created for the Japanese Ciao girls' magazine published by Shogakukan. She appears on the Tamagotchi Connection Version 5 and the Tamagotchi School. Ciaotchi is Jidoutchi's cousin.
Name Origin[]
Her name comes from the name of the girls' magazine Ciao, by the Japanese publisher Shogakukan. However, it could also come from the Italian word Ciao (meaning hello or goodbye).
Although her appearance resembles more that of a stereotypical French girl, both things make Ciaotchi appear very European. It is a common misconception that Ciao is of French origin.
Appearance[]
Ciaotchi has white skin and blonde hair on one side of her head. She wears a blue beret with two hearts on it, and a frilly blue dress with a white heart on it. She has pink cheeks and oval-shaped eyes with three straight eyelashes and one curly eyelash each.
Personality[]
Ciaotchi is a very popular cartoonist who is always busy. She loves talking about romance and fashion and keeps her eyelashes curled no matter what. Her eyes become heart-shaped when absorbed in talking. Just like her name, she has a habit of saying “Ciao”.

Ciaotchi appears as a background character in Tamagotchi: Happiest Story in the Universe!. She is seen attending Tamagotchi School and having an adventure in the Magical Flying Library Ship.
Let's Go! Tamagotchi[]
Ciaotchi has a main role in the episode "Kuromametchi Is So Popular?!". Bikertchi tries to get her attention after school, but she refuses to listen to him. He continues standing in her way and KuroMametchi eventually intervenes and attacks him, allowing Ciaotchi to get away. However, Kuromametchi realizes that Bikertchi was only trying to confess his love to Ciaotchi when he spots his love letter on the ground. To fix things, Kuromametchi runs after Ciaotchi to deliver the letter and she reads it. The next day, Ciaotchi is seen happily skipping into the classroom.
