Tama Heart Collection Tama Profy (たま ハート コレクション たま プロフィ Tama Hāto Korekushon Tama Purofi) is a toy replica of the Tama Profy device from the original Tamagotchi! series.
Appearance[]
The Tama Heart Collection Tama Profy resembles the Tama Profy from the anime series. It is small rectangle shaped toy with a LCD monochrome touchscreen on the front. There are no buttons on the front, but it has a single button on left top side of the Profy which is used as a cancel button. The back of the Profy is white and contains the speaker, reset button, and battery door. On top of the Profy is an IR port which is used to connect to the Himespe Phone and other Profys. There are charm holes on the top right and bottom left of the device.
Features[]
The goal of the Tama Profys is to collect all 120 Tama Hearts through playing games, connecting to other Profys, responding to mail requests, and inserting secret passwords. As the user collects Tama Hearts, profiles of other Tamagotchi characters will become available and the user will be able to select them when playing minigames or collecting hearts. The Profy features all 32 characters from the Tamagotchi iD L to play games with and also features a mode where the user can take care of Kizunatchi, a Tamagotchi that lives inside the Profy.
Startup[]
When the Tama Profy is turned on the user will be prompted to set the time and date. After those are set, the user must create their own profile by typing in their name, birthday, and answering questions using the answers given. Once the profile is created, the user will be assigned a main Tamagotchi which will be the character that appears when playing minigames or collecting hearts.
Main Screen[]
The main screen of the Tama Profy displays the time and date at the top while showing Kizunatchi on the bottom. Tapping the area below the time will go into the icon menu where the user can scroll through and access various options. Tapping Kizunatchi goes directly to the Kizunatchi menu where the user can interact with her. If there is no activity on the Profy for 30 seconds, the device will enter sleep mode. To take it out of sleep mode, the user must tap the screen and then slide the lock on the bottom, much like unlocking a smartphone.
Profile[]
Represented by a book icon, the user can view various Profile options by swiping the bottom of the screen. Additional options can be accessed by tapping the down arrow.
- My Profile: View the profile made at startup and make changes to it.
- Friend Profile: View profiles collected from connecting to other Profys.
- Bond & Heart Power: Check the bond level & heart power of a Tamagotchi. Tapping the button next to the heart brings up the option to give a Tama Heart to the Tamagotchi to refill their heart power. This option can also be accessed for Tamagotchis in the Tama Profile menu.
- Tama Profile: View profiles of Tamagotchis unlocked or connected with.
- Kizuna Profile: View Kizunatchi's profile.
- Add Friend Profile: Add or delete friend profiles.
Heart Box[]
Represented by a chest icon, the user can look at all the Tama Hearts they have collected. The top of the screen has the Heart Meter button and the bottom lists categories of Tama Hearts.
- Heart Meter: A meter in the shape of a heart that fills up as the user collects more hearts. Used to track progress towards collecting all 120 hearts.
- Tama Heart Categories: The user can view categories of Tama Hearts they collected and the types of hearts within them. Selecting a heart shows how many of it was collected, its image, and a description of it.
Mail[]
Represented by a letter icon, the user can view mail they have received and respond to them. Letters are sent by other users or Tamagotchis and request the user to send a specific Tama Heart on the 3rd page. If the user completes three messages by sending the requested heart, the user will unlock a Tamagotchi's profile.
Heart Collect[]
Represented by the Melody Charm, the user can collect Tama Hearts. A Tamagotchi's profile must be selected first and they will stand next to the user's Tamagotchi as a song starts playing. The Melody Charm will appear and music notes will fall towards it. The user must tap the screen when the music notes reach the charm. When all notes are collected, the heart will appear and the user must swipe the screen in a circular motion to catch it. Once caught, the heart will reveal its true form and go towards the heart collection.
The user has three chances lives to collect all the notes as missing a note or tapping at the wrong time loses a life. If all lives are lost, the Tamagotchi the user selected will lose all their Heart Power and it must refilled by giving them Tama Hearts in the Profile menu. The type of Tama Heart the user will receive upon completing the game depends on the Tamagotchi character the user selected and the time of day.
Minigames[]
There are 10 minigames to play with some of them being locked initially. To unlock them, the user must collect a certain number of Tama hearts and profiles. Excluding the first two games, each game has a time limit of 60 seconds. Completing the game rewards one Tama Heart while getting a perfect score rewards two. What Tama Heart is rewarded depends on the Tamagotchi the user selects to play the game.
- Divination: A poo, small gem, or large gem will appear. The user can then read their fortune.
- Friendship Fortune: The user can select a Tamagotchi character and see their compatibility with their main Tamagotchi.
- Jewelry Box: Lovelitchi will stand in the middle of the screen in between four jewelry boxes. When a gem pops out from a box, the user must tap it.
- Remember Rhythm: Melodytchi will play a series of notes and the user must repeat the sequence by tapping the music notes on screen.
- Doki Doki Fishing: Mametchi will be fishing by a river. Once the fishing hook is submerged in the water, the user must quickly tap the screen to catch the fish.
- Drill Master: Kuromametchi will be kicking a soccer ball while running. When an obstacle appears, tap the screen to have him dodge it.
- Running Kuchipatchi: Kuchipatchi will be running along the screen. When an obstacle appears, tap the screen to have him dodge it.
- Pick Up Words: Chamametchi must catch letters falling from the top of the screen to spell a word given at the bottom.
- Exciting Flower-Picking: Memetchi will stand in between four flower planters. When a flower grows from a planter, the user must tap it.
- Tamamori Catch: Chamametchi must catch Tamamori accessories falling from the top of the screen. The accessory she must catch will be listed at the bottom.
Kizunatchi[]
Represented by an icon of Kizunatchi, the user can interact with her here. This menu can also be accessed by tapping her on the main screen.
- Kizuna Profile: View Kizunatchi's profile.
- Chatting: Kizunatchi will talk to the user.
- Tamamori: The user can dress up Kizunatchi with Tamamori.
- Play: The user can select an item for Kizunatchi to play with. Items disappear after one use.
Connection[]
Represented by a heart with waves icon, the user can connect to other Profys, Himespe Phone, or insert a password
- Connection: The user can initiate connection with another Profy or the Love-Friend Phone Himespe Phone. When the connection goes through, the two devices will exchange profiles and a connection game will start. The user has no input in the game and the winner is randomly decided. The winner is rewarded with a Tama Heart (which is turned into an item with the Himespe Phone).
- Password: The user can insert codes by sliding the symbols around the grid. Codes were found on Tamagotchi! Data Carddass cards and other promotional material.

Represented by a wrench icon, the user can adjust settings for the device.
- Contrast: The user can select how light or dark the screen display is.
