Tamagotchi Town (たまごっちタウン Tamagotchi Taun), also known as TamaTown, is a town on the Tamagotchi Planet where many Tamagotchis live. It is densely populated by many forms of Tamagotchi.

Appearance[]

Vintage Era[]

The origins of TamaTown can be traced back to the 90's era of Tamagotchis.

In the Japanese movie and manga, Tamatown as shown briefly as a massive cluster of the virtual pets, most being raised on support roles with staircases to raise them above the ground. There is an extensive underground area where construction workers and other Tamagotchis are found. There is also a railway for minecarts and water pipes.

The US appearance on the Tamagotchi Video Adventures VHS release is similar, but has raised pathways as well, and has a monarchy, with Tamagotchis ruled under the Tamagotchi King. Other than homes and small shops, the U.S. form in the video also includes a museum of artifacts from other civilized planets, and an exhibit on the planet history.

Modern Era[]

Tamagotchi Town is a bustling town with many kinds of businesses and schools. There is a road in front of the town where buses and cars drive through. In front of the road, there is a Tamagotchi Department store with a few other stores next to it. Behind the road is the main area of Tamagotchi Town. There is a paved pathway leading to Tamagotchi Preschool and Tamagotchi School which lies in the center of town. The left side of town has a park with the Tama Market, Tama Tower, TamaTama Station, and a few houses. The right side of town has Tamagotchi Hospital, Construction Headquarters, and Uranaitchi's tent.

Near the back of the town are several more businesses such as the Matchmaker's home, Gotchi Bank, the Game Center, and Tamagotchi Restaurant. There is also Gotchi Station which travels to other nearby towns. On a high hill, Gotchi King's Castle is present next to a statue resembling the Statue Of Liberty and a giant banner saying "Welcome to Tamagotchi Town". In the far distance, Celebria can be seen.

Most the buildings in Tamagotchi Town are round and shaped like eggs. All of the buildings are also alive; at night, they discuss the day's events and watch the Tamagotchis' dreams.

Ketai Phone App[]

Tamatown appeared once again with the release of the Keitai Kaitsuu Tamagotchi Plus in Japan. Using a mobile phone game, the Tamagotchis could now visit Tamatown and find mates, visit parents, and play games. The Tamatown featured was different from the original appearence; instead of raised buildings that resembled the virtual pet, the new Tamatown was shown to have a running railway, a news tower, a marketplace, houses, trees, and a station. Tall office buildings could also be seen in the far background. The city also had a new ruler: a round, golden egg with a crown and cape, known today as the Gotchi King.

E-Tamago/TamaTown[]

Main article: TamaTown

With the release of the Chou Jinsei Enjoi Tamagotchi Plus, Tamatown expanded vastly. Rather than a small settlement, the modern Tamatown had many new buildings and stores, as well as a school, hospital, arcade, and many others. Entama owners could log on to a website, e-tamago.com, and visit Tamatown. They could play games, buy goods, visit relatives and teachers, among other things. The Tamagotchi Connection Version 3 through Version 4.5, released in countries outside Japan, has a similar Tamatown accessed through Tamatown.com, though with many differences from its Japanese counterpart.
