- Not to be confused with Violetchi, her identical twin seen mostly on earlier English releases as her replacement, or Flowertchi (Version 2), a character exclusive to the Tamagotchi Connection Version 2.
Flowertchi, also known as Furawatchi (ふらわっち Furawatchi), is an adult Tamagotchi who debuted on the Keitai Kaitsuu Tamagotchi Plus in Japan, and on the Tamagotchi Connection (2024 re-release) internationally.
She is the daughter to Mamaflowertchi and Papakizatchi, as well as the sister to Kizatchi and her identical twin, Violetchi. Her male counterpart is Sukatchi.
Appearance[]
Flowertchi has a pink colored body and a wide head, with round eyes with eyelashes and dark pink cheeks. She has two flowers on top of her head, one yellow and one green.
It is revealed through m!x genealogy that Flowertchi has two nubby ears on her head. In the anime, her head is rounder, her eyes are wider, and the flowers on her head are larger.
Personality[]
Flowertchi is softhearted and easygoing, and is very knowledgeable about flowers and gardening. She has a profound understanding of flowers and their individual meaning, to the point that she uses them to help guide herself and her friends through them. Aside from flowers, Flowertchi loves the color pink, drawing, and going on bike rides. Unlike characters of similar status such as Makiko and even much of her own family, Flowertchi is quite humble, and dislikes when her father flaunts their wealth.
Flowertchi's personality could be considered to contain yurufuwa (ゆるふわ)-type qualities. The term "yurufuwa" is a combination of "yurui"/"yuruyuru" (ゆるい/ゆるゆる loose, lenient, easygoing) and "fuwari"/"fuwafuwa" (ふわり/ふわふわ light, gentle, soft) and refers to something that is relaxing, easygoing, warm and gentle, which effectively sums up Flowertchi's nature. She is very passionate when it comes to reading flower language and when it comes to villains, even enjoying dressing up as one on some occasions.

Flowertchi being passionate about flowers

She then tells everyone to laugh in a threatening voice before spinning plates in an attempt to entertain everyone to make them laugh. She has a main role in "A Love Panic Situation" where she receives a flower from Lovelitchi that means "a fateful encounter". Gozarutchi happens to fall down next to her when she read the meaning so she ends up developing a crush on him. She spends the whole episode trying to woo him with Lovelitchi, Memetchi, and Makiko's help, but he only seems confused by her weird behavior. In the end, she ends up fighting him as a rival after her flower turns purple which means "a destined battle" in flower language.

In "Hey, Come On! Flowertchi's Birthday", Papakizatchi holds Flowertchi's birthday at a fancy restaurant much to her displeasure. She angrily objects as she hates being spoiled with overly fancy things, but is forced to go as the reservation was already made. At the party, Flowertchi and her friends are uncomfortable as they feel pressured to act fancy, but don't know how. Moriritchi ends up stepping in and using her Tamamori to give everyone a fancy outfit to make them feel more at ease. Everyone including Flowertchi finally enjoys the party and has fun.

Flowertchi participates in an episode of Sparkling Tamamori Heaven when it comes to Flower Hills in "Happy! Flower Tamamori". She is partnered with her father and she impresses the audience and judges with her flower tamamori dress. However, upon noticing that she has everyone's attention she takes the opportunity to reveal her true persona as Dark Flower X and runs from the stage as Papakizatchi hurries after her. After the competition ends, she apologizes to her father who responds that he only wishes she had told him sooner so he could have designed her tamamori around her preferred persona instead.

International Name and Design Changes[]
Flowertchi (JP, pink) next to Violetchi (US, purple)
"Flowertchi" made her international debut on the Tamagotchi Connection Version 2. However, the official character chart sent to TamaTalk.com showed the character with no official artwork and named "Korotchi", with a different character named Flowertchi instead.
With the release of the Tamagotchi Connection Version 3, another character chart was sent to TamaTalk by Bandai. On this chart, the character was named "Leaftchi", had a green body instead of pink, and the green flower was changed to light blue. Despite the change, the character has her normal appearance in the Tamagotchi V3 commercial.
Starting from the Tamagotchi Connection Version 4 onward, the character has been named "Violetchi", and has been depicted as having a violet body instead of pink. This change stuck and was kept consistent with subsequent releases, including variants of the character (such as Ura Violetchi). This change was maintained for the Tamagotchi On, with Flowertchi's sprite having her body color changed from pink to purple and referring to her as "Violetchi" on international versions. This change was kept for the Tamagotchi Pix, as well.
In Tamagotchi Connection: Corner Shop 2, she maintains her pink coloration while keeping the Violetchi name. However, by the sequel Tamagotchi Connection: Corner Shop 3, her body color is changed back to purple in international releases of the game. In the English dub of the Tamagotchi! anime series, the character is referred to as Flowertchi and she keeps her pink color. In My Tamagotchi Forever, she has her Violetchi name and coloration in every language option, including Japanese (ばいおれっち), making it the first piece of Japanese media to feature her in this form.

Flowertchi and Violetchi together
In a guidebook for the Keitai Kaitsuu and the original character page for the Chou Jinsei Enjoi Tamagotchi Plus, Flowertchi's description stated that she had a twin sister in America, as a reference to Violetchi.[1] Violetchi and Flowertchi would then appear together as separate characters in official artwork, such as in a Tamagotchi fortune book from 2009 and in the commemorative artwork for the Tamagotchi franchise's 20th anniversary. More recently in a tweet by the official Japanese Tamagotchi Twitter account celebrating Mother's Day, both Violetchi and Flowertchi appeared next to Kizatchi and Mamavioletchi, leading further credence to them being twin sisters.[2]
From the Tamagotchi Connection (2024) onward, she retains her pink coloring and uses her original Japanese name "Furawatchi". This can be seen in all supplemental media and appearances—including her official profile on the Tamagotchi website[3], the Tamagotchi Uni when meeting her during Tama Search, in the Flower Hills update for Tamagotchi Adventure Kingdom, and on the Tamagotchi Paradise.

Trivia[]
- Although Flowertchi is said to be allergic to flowers in Tamagotchi Connection: Corner Shop 3, this is not seen anywhere else. For example, in the anime she is always around flowers but she never sneezes. In addition, it's assumed that real flowers grow from her head (and recently, hanging down by her knees). She may be allergic to a specific flower.
- In the Chou Jinsei Enjoi Tamagotchi Plus, Flowertchi is part of the Meme Family - related to Memetchi. However, in Tamagotchi Connection Version 5, she is part of the Smart Family, which is related to Mametchi, and will evolve from Mimifuwatchi when the Flower Family is created. Kizatchi however will evolve from Omututchi, the baby associated with Memetchi and the Cheerful and Meme Families.
- Flowertchi's data appears on the Tamagotchi Connection Version 1, predating her official debut. However, her animation set is incomplete, and appears as Nazotchi when connected to any other version.
- The Tamagotchi Connection 2024 rerelease marks the first time Flowertchi is raisable on a US Tamagotchi pet, with promotional artwork and the character profile showing her instead of Violetchi.
- On the English version of the Tamagotchi Connection 2024 website, Flowertchi's name is listed as "Furawatchi", the romanization of her Japanese name. This change has been kept for all subsequent releases.
