A "Gift Tamagotchi" is a special, one-of-a-kind Tamagotchi shell gifted to an individual directly from Bandai.
Description[]
Gift Tamagotchi pets are unique shell designs produced by Bandai and gifted to an individual for a variety of reasons. They may sometimes also come with special packaging to notate their unique position compared to other shells. Due to the nature in which they are produced and distributed, they are not available for sale at retail or third-party outlets; therefore, it is impossible to obtain them in one's collection.

1998 Shell Design Contest Generation 1[]
This Generation 1 Tamagotchi was gifted to Ryan Irvin, the winner of the 1998 Design A Tamagotchi Contest. The shell was presented to him at the 1998 Toy Fair by the late Brian Goldner, who was Bandai America's Chief Operating Officer at the time. No photos of the shell design have ever surfaced.
Golden Tamagotchi Plus[]
This Tamagotchi Plus (released globally as the Tamagotchi Connection Version 1) was seen in the possession of Tamagotchi co-creator Aki Maita during a 2004 press event about the reboot of the Tamagotchi franchise. The shell is metallic gold with black buttons.
"Kawaiiness" Tamagotchi Connection Version 5[]
This Tamagotchi Connection Version 5 was the winning shell design of a Design A Tamagotchi Contest held in the Philippines. According to its creator, it was the third shell design they submitted to the contest.
The shell is black with light pink borders and white buttons. It has printed pink and white stripes to the upper left and bottom right, scattered yellow stars and pink swirls, and a blue skull with a crown and pink wings to the upper left. The chimney has a light pink roof, and it comes with a black key charm with a dark pink face.
Fantastics from Exile Tribe Classic Tamagotchi Shells[]
Each of the eight members of Fantastics from Exile Tribe designed a Generation 1 Tamagotchi shell, with the winning shell being distributed at special events and on their website. The winning shell was designed by member Sota Nakajima. The remaining seven shell designs were produced by Bandai and given to the members as "thank you" gifts for their participation, and all eight shells were displayed together on television and during a Fantastics event.
Tamagotchi Uni "Thank you kemio" Shell[]
This Tamagotchi Uni shell was gifted to Japanese influencer Kemio as a special "thank you" gift for his participation in the blue Tamagotchi Uni shell marketing campaign, and was given to him on his birthday, October 16, 2023.
The shell is white with a black logo and translucent dark purple buttons. The faceplate has a blue outer rim and white inner body, with scattered blue and yellow flower prints, two blue cherry symbols, and the "kemio" logo at the bottom of the shell. The back of shell is translucent dark purple. It came with matching white watch strap with translucent fasteners.
Tamagotchi Uni "Thank you ano-chan" Shell[]
This Tamagotchi Uni shell was gifted to Jpop artist ano as a special "thank you" gift for her participation in Tamagotchi's 27th anniversary promotional campaign.
The shell is black with a black logo and translucent dark purple buttons. The faceplate has a white outer rim and dark blue inner body, with scattered teeth, and the "ano" logo at the bottom of the shell. The back of shell is translucent dark purple. It came with matching black watch strap with translucent black fasteners.
International Tokyo Toy Show 2024 Shells[]
These Generation 1 Tamagotchi shells were gifted to child actress Yuno Nagao and comedy duo "Diane" (Atsuhiro Tsuda and Yusuke) as special "thank you" gifts for preceding over the opening ceremonies of the International Tokyo Toy Show 2024. No high-resolution images of the shell designs have been released.
