The Home Deka Tamagotchi Game King Playoff (おうちのでかたまごっち ゲーム王けってーせん O-uchi no Deka Tamagotchi Game Ō Kettēsen) is a Deka Tamagotchi and an accessory made to complement the Chou Jinsei Enjoi Tamagotchi Plus. It is the second home deka to be released after the Home Deka Tamagotchi, and was released by Bandai on October 28, 2006.
Appearance[]
The Game Deka's appearance is the nearly same as the Home Deka, measuring at 115 centimeters, or approximately 4.5 inches. Its shape is is made to resemble a large Entama Tamagotchi Plus, except instead of the infrared port being at the top, it is positioned just above the screen in a heart-shaped frame. The back of the shell body has a stand for tabletop display. The right side had a volume adjustment switch, with three settings (loud, quiet, and off).
Features[]
The player is represented by the previous unnamed character from the Home Deka Tamagotchi once again. The main goal is to play and master all of games in a tournament. The player can travel across the Tamagotchi planet, and Gotchi points won from games can be transferred to the Ketai, Hanerutchi, Entama, Akai, and UraTama.
The main menu of the Game Deka shows all six locations the player can visit. Pressing the A button will scroll through and pressing B will select a location. An animation will play of the DekaTama protagonist walking there and the player can press B to enter or C to exit back to the main menu. If the Game Deka is left idle for 15 minutes, the screen will change into a screensaver featuring Tamagotchi Planet and The Earth.
Game Center[]
The player can practice the games and earn gotchi points here. There are 10 games to choose from and the player can press A to select and B to confirm.
- Flag: One or two flags will be shown at a time. The player must raise the left flag (A button), right flag (b button), or both to match the flags being shown. Later rounds will trick the player by showing smaller fake flags that aren't meant to be followed.
- Heading: The protagonist will be bouncing a ball and must catch it as it falls back down. Pressing A will move them left while pressing C will move them right. The B button makes them jump to bounce the ball back up.
- Memory: A sequence of left, right, and up arrows will appear on screen briefly. The player must press the buttons (A for left, C for right, B for up) to repeat the sequence.
- Fishing: The player controls a fishing hook as its cast into water. Pressing A and C will adjust the height the hook is at. When the hook is aligned with a fish's mouth, the player must press B to hook them and then repeatedly press the button to reel them in. Once the fish is caught their length in centimeters is displayed.
- Watermelon Seed Spitting:The protagonist needs to spit the watermelon seed as far as they can. A power gauge on top of the screen will move up and down and the player must press the B button when it's full to shoot the seed far.
- High/Low: A deck of cards is shuffled and the screen will display a card face up with a number (from 1 to 13) and card face down. The player must guess if the facedown card's number is higher or lower than the shown card. Pressing A guesses high, pressing C guesses low, and pressing C quits the game. If the guess is wrong, the player loses the game without winning gotchi points. Gotchi points are earned after the player completes all the rounds or if they quit after a few successful rounds.
- Balance: The protagonist will be standing on a board they need to keep their balance on. As the board tips, the player can press A to lean left or press B to lean right.
- Face Making: A picture of a Tamagotchi is split into three rows and the player must stop the rows in order to form the full picture of them. Pressing A will stop a row.
- Run and Jump: The protagonist will be running a race and must finish as fast as possible. The player can press A repeatedly to make them run and press B to jump over any rocks in the way.
- Egg Drop: Eggs will be falling from the sky and the protagonist must avoid getting hit by them or stepping on them on the ground. The player can move them left or right with A and C.
Tama Tower[]
The protagonist can enter a TV quiz show and face off against another Tamagotchi. Shikaitchi will ask a question and possible answers will be listed. The A button scrolls through the answers while the B button selects one. The player must answers before their opponent does. There are five questions per game.
Gotchi King's Castle[]
The protagonist can enter a lottery at Gotchi King's Castle. A royal servant will ask them how many tickets they'd like to buy and the player can input the amount they want. Each ticket costs 100 gotchi points and are only usable on the day they're sold. The player must then return to the castle after 8 PM in order to see the lottery drawing. The tickets will be attached to a wheel which the Gotchi King will throw a dart at to choose the winning ticket. The area the dart lands on determines the prize:
- Area 4: 100G
- Area 3: 500G
- Area 2: 1000G
- Area 1: 1000G
If the player visits this location after 8 PM when they don't have a ticket, the protagonist will be ejected from the castle. The same thing will happen if the player already attended the lottery drawing that day.
Stadium[]
The protagonist can enter a tournament after paying the entrance fee of 100 gotchi points. The tournament consists of the protagonist traveling all over Tamagotchi Planet to play all ten games in a row at their host sites. Before starting a game, the a screen will show the number of points needed to win the game and advance to the next one. If the player loses, they must restart the tournament.
Bank[]
The player can manage the gotchi points they have and send it to another Tamagotchi device.
- Bank Book: The total amount of gotchi points the player currently has
- Withdraw: The player can send gotchi points to a Ketai, Hanerutchi, Entama, Akai, or UraTama. After selecting the amount of points to transfer, the Game Deka will enter communication mode. The player must then put the receiving Tamagotchi device in communcation mode by selecting "Deka Tama" from the connection menu.
- Term Deposit: The player can deposit a set amount of gotchi points and let it earn interest for five days. The minimum deposit amount is 1000G. After five days, the player may return to collect the deposit with added 10% interest. If they return before five days are up, the bank will inform them that the deposit hasn't matured yet and will eject them out.
Records[]
The player can view their overall rank, amount of gotchi points earned, best score in all 10 games, and which games they cleared in tournaments.
