Imotchi (いもっち) is a female Tamagotchi character. She first appeared on the Tamagotchi Connection Version 5 and has appeared in the Tamagotchi! anime series. She is the younger sister of Memetchi, and her parents are Mememamatchi and Memepapatchi.

Imotchi's name comes「妹」(imōto, little sister) or possibly「芋」(imo, potato), referring to her color.

Appearance[]
Imotchi's appearance is similar to her sister, Memetchi. She has lighter yellow skin, rather than Memetchi's orange, and a curl that is curled half way on her head. She also three freckles on each of her cheeks, and wears a pink bow.
Personality[]
Imotchi is quite mature for her age. Sometimes she behaves more grown-up than her older sister. She is usually cheerful like the rest of her family, but she can get quite angry sometimes. Chamametchi and Kikitchi are her best friends. She and Chamametchi occasionally get into fights, but she and Memetchi get into fights more often. She is brave and confident, and she thinks she is just as great as Memetchi.
Imotchi is good at navigating. Like Memetchi, she can use her curl to find which way to go; however, unlike Memetchi, her curl does not lose its position, even in the rain. As a result, she is less likely to get lost.

Tamagotchi Connection Version 5[]
Imotchi is obtainable by raising a Meme Family. To do this, Memetchi must marry Mumutchi with 100% bonding. Then they will evolve into Memepapatchi and Mememamatchi, and their children will evolve into Memetchi and Imotchi. Imotchi will not be able to marry, since she is considered a teen character.

Imotchi can be seen in the beginning of the movie with her family waving goodbye to Memetchi as she leaves for school.

Tamagotchi![]
Imotchi goes on a Tamaween adventure with Chamametchi and Kikitchi in "Go Go! Tama Adventure! / Looking For The Pumpkin Soup Lake". The day before, she manages to insult Memetchi on her sense of direction and this makes Memetchi so mad that she decided to scare them in Pumpkin Forest with Kuchipatchi and Mametchi. Later on however, she lightens up and becomes proud of Imotchi when she discovers that her little sister made it to Pumpkin Soup Lake with her friends.
In "Kikitchi Can't Sleep!" Imotchi and Chamametchi have a sleepover at Kikitchi's house and they later tell ghost stories which frightens Kikitchi. She is later seen rolling all over the floor while asleep and causing a mess, keeping Kikitchi from falling asleep.
Imotchi has a main role in "One, Two! One, Two! Let's Dance" where Chamametchi convinces her and the Eco-usatchi Triplets to form a dance team. They go to Octodogtchi's house to learn how to dance and Imotchi becomes upset that she can't dance as well as everyone else. She quits and runs back home where she spots Memetchi trying over and over again to do a backflip. At first, Imotchi doesn't understand why Memetchi keeps trying to do a backflip when she keeps failing at it, but Memetchi explains that sometimes it takes a lot of mistakes to become good at something. This inspires Imotchi to keep trying at dance practice and she returns to Octodogtchi for personal lessons. Later on, she rejoins the dance team and practices with them.
Imotchi and Chamametchi try to find out Melodytchi's crush in "Melodytchi-chama! Secretly Cheering Dechu" by following her around to see who's she going to give her chocolates to. However, the two end up getting into trouble when they run into Beartchi and think he's going to attack them. Melodytchi saves them and Beartchi apologizes for scaring them, only wanting to see what they were up to. Melodytchi then reveals she was looking all over for the two, wanting to give her chocolates to them.
In "Getting Heated! Class Committee Election" Imotchi and Chamametchi end up getting Bokutchi and Kikitchi into running for class representative. Imotchi puts herself on Bokutchi's side and helps him campaign for the role, intimidating students into supporting him. Kikitchi ends up winning the role, but only because Mr. Turtlepedia has made his mind up before they started campaigning.
In "Premonition Commotion!? Himespe Phone Fortune-Telling", Imotchi and Chamametcchi consult Himespetchi's Himespe Phone to see how they can get Kikitchi to hang out with them after school after he tells them he's too busy. The phone tells them to find a pink flower for luck and they end up getting deeply lost in the mountains looking for it, worrying their siblings. Luckily, they run into Lovelin while she's filming an episode of GOTCHIMAN and she calls Himespetchi to tell her where they are. Imotchi and Memetchi accidentally break Memepapatchi's Guruguru Haniwa during an argument in "Make It Charming! Guruguru Haniwa Big Battle" and ask Rokurotchi to fix it before Memepapatchi finds out. However, Memepapatchi finds out anyway when he follows them to Rokurotchi's house to see what they were up to.

Memetchi is Imotchi's older sister. They tend to fight and get into arguments a lot, especially when it comes to Memetchi's sense of direction. However, they do care for each other and Memetchi often helps out Imotchi when she is having problems with something.

Chitchi is the Meme family's Tama Pet. Imotchi cherishes her and once got into a fight with Chamametchi over her being better than Hapihapitchi.
