Not to be confused with Imotchi (1997) from Mori no Tamagotch.

Imotchi (いもっち) is Memetchi's younger sister. She first appeared on the Tamagotchi Connection Version 5. She lives in Guruguru Town with her parents, Memepapatchi and Mememamatchi, and their Tama Pet, Chitchi, whom she is fond of.

In the anime, she is voiced by Ayako Kawase.

Imotchi's appearance is similar to her sister, Memetchi. She has lighter yellow skin than Memetchi, and a curl that is curled half way on her head. She also three freckles on each of her cheeks, and wears a pink bow.

Imotchi is quite mature for her age. Sometimes she behaves more grown-up than her older sister. She is usually cheerful like the rest of her family, but she can get quite angry sometimes.

Chamametchi and Kikitchi are her best friends. She and Chamametchi occasionally get into fights, but she and Memetchi get into fights more often. She is brave and confident, and she thinks she is just as great as Memetchi.

Imotchi is good at navigating. Like Memetchi, she can use her curl to find which way to go; however, unlike Memetchi, her curl does not lose its position, even in the rain. As a result, she is less likely to get lost.

Appearances on Virtual Pets

Tamagotchi Connection Version 5

Imotchi is obtainable by raising a Meme Family. To do this, Memetchi must marry Mumutchi with 100% bonding. Then they will evolve into Memepapatchi and Mememamatchi, and their children will evolve into Memetchi and Imotchi. Imotchi will not be able to marry, since she is considered a teen character.

Name Origin

Imotchi's name comes from the Japanese word imōto, which means "little sister". However, 芋 imo can also mean "potato" (For example, see her Chinese name below), which might be a reference to her colour.
