Is He a Myth? The Kuchipatchi of Truth (まぼろし？真実のくちぱっち Maboroshi? Shinjitsu no Kuchipatchi) is part one of episode 26 of Tamagotchi!. It is the first episode of season 2 and the penultimate episode to be dubbed in English. The episode also debuts the season 2 version of the opening and Moshimo☆Paradise for the Japanese version.
Synopsis[]
Mametchi, Memetchi, and Kuchipatchi decide to go to the Forest of Truth in search of "The Kuchipatchi of Truth". They finally find it, but they get sucked into a strong bright light!
Plot[]
At the Tamagotchi Department Store, Mametchi, Memetchi, and Kuchipatchi watch as a line of Tamagotchi ask a circular stone resembling Kuchipatchi questions about their luck and love life. The stone's eyes glow green and answer their questions back, to the glee of the Tamagotchi asking them. As the trio notes how the stone looks like Kuchipatchi, Uwasatchi appears next to them to explain that they're looking at the Kuchipatchi of Truth and that it has the power to answer questions asked of it.
Inside the store, the trio get more information from Depagatchi. She explains that there are several Kuchipatchi of Truths on Tamagotchi Planet and they're known for being a relic from ancient Tamagotchi history, showing a book of the first Gotchi King with one. Mametchi then notes that they found a coin resembling Kuchipatchi's face when they were on an island and wonders if it's related to the Kuchipatchi of Truth. Suddenly, Kuchipatchi shouts out loud and remembers that he had already seen a stone when he was a child. Mametchi becomes excited and says they have to go see the stone to learn more about it.
Mametchi, Memetchi, and Kuchipatchi go into Patchi Forest to look for the stone Kuchipatchi had seen. Along the way, they see Sukimazetchi and Dorodorotchi. As they go deeper into the forest, Kuchipatchi tells Mametchi and Memetchi how he found the stone as a child. He had gotten lost in the forest and was starving, having not eaten for a while. When a bright light flashes ahead of him, he goes towards it and comes across a river with a small island in the middle of it. Kuchipatchi jumps across the stone bridge leading to it and once he is on the island, the Kuchipatchi of Truth materializes in front of him and asks what he needs. Kuchipatchi tells him he needs food and the stone glows bright once again as Kuchipatchi faints from exhaustion. When he reawakens, he is delighted to find a big pile of fruit nearby. Mamapatchi and Papapatchi also manage to find him soon after and reunite with him.
Back in the present, the trio come across the same river and island Kuchipatchi had described. When they get on the island, Kuchipatchi offers the basket of fruit he has on him and tells the Kuchipatchi of Truth that they want to know more about him. The stone appears in front of them, tells them that they will help, and surrounds the area in a bright light and that envelops the trio as they scream. The scene changes to Mametchi waking up in the middle of a jungle and crying out for Memetchi and Kuchipatchi who are nowhere to be found. He then looks up and is shocked to see Gotchi King's Castle with the first Gotchi King trying to reassure his subjects about the land being enveloped in a jungle. However, the Gotchi King makes puns half of the time to Mametchi's annoyance. Mametchi calls out for his friends again to no answer and soon reawakens back in Patchi Forest.
Kuchipatchi and Memetchi confirm they had seen the same thing Mametchi had seen and the trio are puzzled as to what it means. As they continue talking, Morikamitchi looks down on them from a nearby tree.
