It's a Secret! Mametchi's Birthday (ヒ・ミ・ツ!まめっちの誕生日 Hi·me·tsu! Mametchi no tanjoubi) is part 1 of episode 6 of Tamagotchi!.
Synopsis[]
It's Mametchi's birthday tomorrow and his friends try their best to keep his surprise party a secret!
Plot[]
Mametchi greets everyone as he walks into the classroom and they look at him for a second before turning around to sit at their seats. Kuchipatchi panics and trips on the way and Mametchi goes to help him, but he quickly says everything is fine and runs to his seat. Mametchi asks what's going on, but Memetchi responds that nothing is going on and glares at Kuchipatchi who almost mentions the special date. KuroMametchi and Flowertchi then announce that Ms. Perfect is coming and that they should sit down.
At TAMAX-TV, Stylitchi is doing Lovelitchi's makeup as she reminisces about the events of the previous episode. She wonders if things will truly stay the same if she told her friends her true identity. Back at Tamagotchi School, Mametchi gets his lunch and sees his friends sitting at a table talking amongst themselves. He thinks back to earlier to when he tried to talk to Memetchi and Flowertchi in the hallway and they ran from him saying that they needed to talk to Ms. Perfect. He decides to sit by himself under a tree and Uwasatchi comes up to him to ask why he's alone and if he got into a fight with Memetchi. He responds no, but Uwasatchi follows up and asks why Memetchi is whispering behind his back and acting like she's hiding something. Feeling upset, Mametchi runs away while shouting no. Later that night, he rolls in bed looking sad.
The scene changes to Lovelitchi surrounded by shadowy figures in a dark place. Mametchi comes up and yells at her for betraying their trust, having found out her secret identity. He then says they're no longer Tama-friends as a physical rift forms and pulls them away from each other. Lovelitchi wakes up and it turns out she was just having a nightmare. She looks at a photo of her and her friends, saying she's confused about keeping secrets from them.
The next day, Mametchi looks into the classroom and sees his classmates still talking amongst themselves. He turns away and sees Lovelitchi and asks if she's okay. She responds that it's complicated and she asks Mametchi the same question who responds the same. Lovelitchi is later seen talking to Memetchi asking if they're really avoiding Mametchi. Memetchi responds that they are and asks her for a favor.
Lovelitchi returns to Mametchi who is looking out a window and he asks what Memetchi said. Lovelitchi responds that they're not avoiding him; he just happened to catch them at a bad time so he shouldn't worry about it. Mametchi then calls her a liar, not believing what she said. She states that even though Memetchi and the others are lying she isn't, but Mametchi gets even more upset as he now has proof everyone was lying to him. She tries to explain that his friends are lying to him for a good reason and that white lies are done to protect those you care about as Memetchi and others approach them.
Memetchi thanks Lovelitchi for explaining things to Mametchi and finally reveals the truth: They were avoiding him so they could plan a surprise birthday party, but decided to stop keeping it a surprise as they noticed him feeling left out and sad. Everyone then apologizes to Mametchi for making him sad and he is shocked at the revelation. After school, Mametchi apologizes for getting mad at them, but Memetchi and Kuchipatchi tell him not to worry about it. Lovelitchi watches them and decides to herself that she wants to tell the truth about her secret identity.
