Iwatchi (いわっち) is a baby stage character that debuted on the Tamagotchi Connection Version 5.
Name Origin[]
Iwa is a Japanese word meaning a rock or a crag.
Appearance[]
Iwatchi resembles a misshapen brown rock with a gray beak. Despite its artwork being different in appearance, its sprite bears a resemblance to female Tsubutchi.
Personality[]
This mysterious baby is said to come from space because their body is made out of a mineral not found on the planet. It's quite stubborn right from birth.

Iwatchi is the baby stage of the "Space" family, and can be obtained in two different ways.
The primary method is to marry two units from different regions; for example, marrying an English V5 with a Japanese Famitama. This can only be done if the two are the same version (for example, it will not work if a V5 is married to a Royal Famitama or vice versa). This is the only method of obtaining Iwatchi on the Japanese versions.
On international versions, on rare occasions, the Matchmaker on the Dating Channel may be replaced with a Planetchi offering Sunnytchi to marry (or Jewelboxtchi offering Jeweltchi on the V5 Celebrity). As the character is gender neutral, any member of the current family may marry it. This does not occur on the Japanese versions.
Only one Iwatchi can be raised at a time, will always be in a "Blended Family", and can be either gender. One hour after being born, it will evolve into Hoshitchi.
