Joji Shimura
Jōji Shimura (志村 錠児; born May 2nd, 1967; age 57) is a Japanese anime director who directed Tamagotchi: The Movie, its sequel, the anime, and the short film Eiga Tamagotchi: Himitsu no Otodoke Dai Sakusen!
Prior to adapting Tamagotchi, Shimura directed Blade of the Phantom Master and The Animal Crossing Movie. He also storyboarded and directed several episodes of the Pokémon anime, namely The Symbol Life, The Saffron Con, Wheel of Frontier, and The Green Guardian from the Advanced Generation series and A Riveting Rivalry! and The Right Hero for the Right Job! from the XY series.
