Kaerutchi (かえるっち Kaerutchi) is a Tamagotchi character that debuted on the Tamagotchi Connection Version 2.
Name Origin[]
Kaeru (かえる) translates to frog; Kaerutchi is named this due to the character's appearance resembling a frog.
Appearance[]
Kaerutchi currently has no official caricature artwork, only official sprites. Kaerutchi looks like a frog, with a large head, a small body, and is standing on two legs. It also resembles a crocodile due to its spiky jaws.
On Virtual Pets[]
Tamagotchi Connection[]
Kaerutchi's data is present but cannot be obtained without debugging the unit.
Tamagotchi Connection Version 2[]
Kaerutchi is one of three possible adults that can be obtained on odd generations with 2-3 or more physical care mistakes and fewer emotional care mistakes, the other two being Hanatchi and Takotchi. Toratchi's favorite food is white fish, and dislikes popcorn.
Trivia[]
- Kaerutchi appears to be a "discarded" character by Bandai Japan as it was never given a Japanese release. The only way to access it in a Japanese version is by debugging a Tamagotchi Plus, suggesting that it was intended to appear on that version, but was scrapped for unknown reasons.
- Because of this, Kaerutchi has no official artwork since it was only released in western countries and didn't appear in a version where it could visit Tamatown.
- This distinction is shared with Butterflytchi, Flowertchi, Toratchi and Whaletchi.
