Kakuretchi (かくれっち) is a character that appears exclusively on the TamaOtch. It is one of the four characters that appears in multiple growth stages.
Name Origin[]
Kakuretchi's name is coined from Kakure, which means "hidden".
Appearance[]
Kakuretchi has a grey body with large arms and legs. It wears a black belt and and scarf, and it has large, black eyes. Only half of its body is visible.
Personality[]
Due to its shy personality, Kakuretchi always keeps half of itself hidden. It feels more comfortable playing as extras in the background than the main role. This means its talent, such as its strength and agility, often go unnoticed.
According to the official website: "This character always gets stuck with roles as an extra and is always abandoning its stagetime. What this pathetic character needs is some tough love!"
On Virtual Pets[]
TamaOtch[]
Kakuretchi can be obtained at either the Active or Maturity stage.
At the Active stage, Kakuretchi can evolve from AsaDoratchi and Mochimotchi and is obtained if the conditions for any other character are not met. It is generally obtained through poor care and/or low popularity. Kakuretchi’s evolution patterns are not relative to the other Active stage characters, with only two characters being obtainable, Tamaotchi and Tabakotchi.
At the Maturity stage, Kakuretchi can evolve from Tamaotchi, Mochimotchi and AsaDoratchi. It can be obtained from Mochimotchi and AsaDoratchi with low popularity and 0-2 care mistakes if Acting or Dancing was won the most, respectively. It can be obtained from Tamaotchi in four different ways, with any combination of care mistakes and popularity. Kakuretchi can evolve into Sendatchi with 3 or more care mistakes.
Kakuretchi sleeps from 9pm to 7am and its stage time starts at 7pm. It will never call for discipline.

Trivia[]
- Unlike the other characters on the TamaOtch, Kakuretchi always stands in the far left corner of the screen. Because of this, when it eats, it looks like the food is disappearing on its own, and when on stage, the spotlight covers half of the screen. When it is dancing, it will move to the other side of the screen when moving right, and will not move at all when moving left. This also applies if it is refusing something. Also, when sad or asleep, its head and half of its body becomes visible.
- Unusually, when asleep, it is on the right side of the screen rather than the left.
