Karatchi (からっち) is a baby stage character exclusive to the TamaOtch.
Name Origin[]
Karatchi's name comes from Kara which is the Japanese word for "shell". This refers to how Karatchi's body consists mainly of eggshell.
Appearance[]
Karatchi has a purple, sphere-shaped body with an egg shell on its head. It has small, black eyes on the egg shell. It is completely spherical as its legs have not yet sprouted.
Personality[]
This baby is a newcomer who's born immediately fascinated with the world of acting and stardom. Keep a close eye on them...they'll grow up in a flash!
According to the official website: "This character has only just recently hatched from an egg. In a short time, it will grow legs and become an Ashi-chi. Don't look away for too long or you'll miss seeing it!"

Karatchi appears during the opening sequence when hatching from an egg. It will remain on-screen for a short period of time before growing legs and becoming Ashitchi. Since Karatchi and Ashitchi are both considered Audition stage characters, this is not considered an evolution, but rather the beginning of the TamaOtch's growth, which implies that Karatchi is not a separate growth stage from Ashitchi.

- In some of Karatchi's artwork, there is Japanese text next to the character that says, "Shinjin de~su", meaning "I'm a newcomer!"
