Kingyobotchi (きんぎょばっち) is a character that debuted on the Tamagotchi iD L.


Kingyobotchi has a light-blue fishbowl-like head with a pale face, and wears a blue dress. There are orange fish and bubbles in the fishbowl. Starting from the Tamagotchi m!x, boy Kingyobotchi keep the original colors while girl Kingyobotchi now has a light pink fish bowl and a darker pink dress.

Kingyobotchi is a female child-stage character that can only evolve from Choribotchi. It will evolve into Painaputchi with less than four care mistakes, or Sabosabotchi with four or more.

Tamagotchi m!x

Kingyobotchi is a gender-neutral teenage character on the 20th Anniversary and Gift versions. It can evolve from all four children with less than 3 care mistakes and under 20 happiness. From the second generation onward, a My Tama that has been raised under the same conditions may resemble Kingyobotchi, but with body color and accessory differences based on the parents' genetics.

Name Origin

Her name comes from Kingyo (Japanese for "goldfish").
