Kinotchi (きのっち Kinotchi) is a male baby-stage Tamagotchi who debuted on the Tamagotchi Plus Color in Japan, and on the TamaTown Tama-Go internationally. His female counterpart is Nokotchi.
Name Origin[]
Kinotchi's name comes from the first half of the Japanese word kinoko (きのこ), meaning "mushroom". When paired alongside his female counterpart, Nokotchi, the two combine to make the full word.
Appearance[]
Kinotchi resembles a small mushroom with a blue cap and yellow spots. His body is a very light yellow with beady eyes, a pink beak and pink cheeks.

Tamagotchi Plus Color / Hexagontchi[]
Kinotchi has a 50% chance of appearing when the first egg hatches or when two characters marry. He evolves into Kuribotchi in odd generations, and Ahirukutchi in even generations. On the Plus Color, a Kinotchi born from Ojitchi and Otokitchi marrying will become Oyajitchi. On the Hexagontchi, he evolves into Tensaitchi Jr. instead.
TamaTown Tama-Go[]
Kinotchi has a 50% chance of appearing when the toy starts or when two characters marry. He can become either Ahirukutchi or Mattaritchi. However, a Kinotchi born from Ojitchi and Otokitchi marrying between two Tama-Gos will become Oyajitchi.
In the Anime[]
Kinotchi makes a brief cameo in Tamagotchi: Happiest Story in the Universe!, as the newborn baby of an unknown couple.
