Kogaltchi (コギャルっち Kogyarutchi) is a Tamagotchi Comrade that appeared as a special character on 64 de Hakken! Tamagotchi Minna de Tamagotchi World. They later appeared on the Keitai Katsuu Home Deka Tamagotchi.
Name Origin[]
Kogaltchi's name is from the Japanese word "Kogyaru" meaning "School Gal". Kogyaru is a Japanese street-style where girls dress in school-uniforms and wear a large amount of make-up and doing their hair in ways the Japanese school-board would not allow; often wearing legwarmers and shortening their skirts by wearing them higher up on the waist.
Appearance[]
Kogaltchi appears to be two separate Tamagotchis. One is shaped like an orange circle with yellow lips, a blonde ponytail tied in a red ribbon, and large, shiny eyes. It has no arms but it has long legs with rumpled white socks and brown shoes.
The other is a pink rectangle with yellow lips, big shiny eyes, and a swirly red ponytail tied in a yellow ribbon. It has stubby arms, but no legs.
On Virtual Pets[]
The circular Kogaltchi appears as a shop assistant at the game center on the Home Deka Tamagotchi. She is one of two Tamagotchi comrades who will randomly appear to determine which game will be played. When Kogaltchi appears, the user can play the heart catch game. The guidebook for the Home Deka Tamagotchi does not refer to her by name, instead calling her "the shop assistant with a ponytail".
