Anime kuchipatchi

Kuchipatchi, as depicted in the anime series

In the Tamagotchi movie and anime adaptations, Kuchipatchi is shown to have a family (Papapatchi, Mamapatchi, and twin siblings Chibipatchi). He also is very flexible, as seen when Kuchipatchi gets stretched into a trampoline to help save Tanpopo, Memetchi, Mametchi and an egg when they fell down a tall building. Because of his rubber-like body, he also sometimes bounces around uncontrollably. Eating is one of his favorite pastimes, and he often has food on his mind. It is revealed that Kuchipatchi has a habit of saying "dacchi" at the end of every sentence, and uses the word as exclamations as well. In the English version, he says "tchi" at the end of his sentences and "Ya-tchi!" when he's excited or agreeing with someone. In the English Tamagotchi Friends (anime), he goes back to his original Japanese "dacchi". He isn't too bright, and he sometimes talks about food when he is supposed to be thinking about something else. He drools a lot.

Unlike other Tamagotchis, Kuchipatchi is supposedly shown to make occasional deep trumpet-like noises when he moves. However, since the other characters do not react to these noises, they are most likely not made by Kuchipatchi, they may just be coincidental sound effects.

In Tamagotchi: Happiest Story in the Universe!, it is revealed that Kuchipatchi is allergic to feathers since he sneezes enormously when one lands on his nose. Also in this movie, there is a bouncing sound when Kuchipatchi walks; this is not audible in other Tamagotchi anime.
