Kumattatchi (くまったっち) is a male Tamagotchi character that debuted in the Tamagotchi! anime.

Name Origin[]

Kumatta is based on the Japanese word komatta (困った), which is an expression used when someone is in a dilemma. Koma is replaced with kuma (), which means 'bear'.

Appearance[]

Kumattatchi resembles a bear. His body is mostly light blue, although the top half of his head is a darker shade of blue. He has dark oval-shaped eyes and pale gray cheeks.

Personality[]

Kumattatchi is in a constant state of worry, and is prone having fear and sorrow. He usually bobs his head from side to side when stressed. In the rare moments when he is calm, he's quite sweet and likeable.

Tamagotchi On[]

Kumattatchi is a resident of My Town that can be met at the park. He may also be seen as a wedding guest. Kumattatchi also appears in a seasonal event with Neenetchi and Pukkutchi near Halloween. He is dressed as a witch and will trick or treat at the Tamagotchi's house. If the Tamagotchi refuses to give them candy, the group will pile junk on them and leave.

Kumattatchi is a NPC that can be encountered in Explore mode if the camera picks up the color blue.

In the Anime[]

Kumattatchi is very nervous and usually has a worried look on his face. He is troubled about everything and frequently says "kumatta". He usually bobs his head from side to side when he is stressed and is known to walk sideways. He is a student in Mr. Turtlepedia's class at Tamagotchi School.

Tamagotchi![]

In "You Got Me! Octodogtchi's Secret!", Gourmetchi asks Kumattatchi about the fried chicken in the school's menu and he responds that he doesn't want to hear about it and will throw up. In "New Hero? Patchiman Datchi", he is scared of crossing a street and Patchiman pushes the crosswalk button for him. Kumattatchi gets into a fight with Imotchi in "Pink! Heart! Messengers-wan!" and is too scared to make up with her. Hapihapitchi and Telelin relay his message to Imotchi and her response back to Kumattatchi which helps them be friends again.

In "Atsuatsu! Sabusabu! Seat Panic", Kumattatchi overhears Mr. Turtlepedia's plan to switch everyone's seats and he relays this to his class. This causes everyone to panic over where they will sit, but Mr. Turtlepedia later clarifies that he doesn't plan on doing this and Kumattatchi only misheard him. Everyone then becomes exasperated with the misunderstanding.
