Kurokotchi (くろこっち Kurokotchi) is an adult-stage Tamagotchi who debuted on the Keitai Kaitsuu! Tamagotchi Plus in Japan, and on the Tamagotchi Connection Version 3 worldwide.
Name Origin[]
Kuroko are black-dressed stage attendants in Kabuki plays. They are in charge of moving scenery and props between scenes, and play as animals, spirits, or other roles.
Appearance[]
Kurokotchi has a dark blue body, a rectangular head, pink lips, and narrow eyes. Kurokotchi that originate from Makkakka Town have a red outline, and its body color is a warm shade of purple.
Personality[]
It has creepy eyes that shine in the darkness like search lights. Kurokotchi has a balanced lifestyle that has a healthy mind and body, but still likes to sleep in and stay up late. Being as introverted as it is, it tends to be a bit slow and is terribly shy, only feeling comfortable when its in the dark. Kurokotchi's deepest secret is that it is a huge fan of cosplay, and when it puts on a Wooltchi costume, its personality becomes extroverted and boisterous.

Keitai Kaitsuu Tamagotchi Plus / Akai[]
Kurokotchi is a Stubborn adult who can be obtained on even generations. It evolves from either Young Mametchi, Hinatchi/Darumatchi, or Young Oyajitchi. Its character-unique item is a ball of cotton, which allows it to become Wooltchi. Kurokotchi will remain as Wooltchi until the cotton is removed, and the item can be used infinitely. Kurokotchi sleeps from 11 PM to 10 AM. Like other "stubborn" category adults on the Keitai (Gozarutchi and Wooltchi), Kurokotchi does not take baths or brush its teeth.
Tamagotchi Connection Version 3[]
Kurokotchi is a Stubborn adult who can be obtained on odd generations. Its favorite food is Popcorn, and it dislikes Bananas. Kurokotchi goes to bed at 10:15 P.M. and wakes up at 10 A.M, and its base weight is 20lb.
Tamagotchi Plus Color[]
When visiting the theater in Celebria, Kurokotchi appears dressed in a monster costume for the user's Tamagotchi to fight.
Hexagontchi[]
When visiting Hexagon Studio, which replaces the Playground from the TMGC+C, Kurokotchi appears once again in a monster costume. It can sometimes show up while the user's Tamagotchi is talking to another character and will startle them.

Wooltchi (うーるっち Ūrutchi) is a Tamagotchi who is considered an alter ego for Kurokotchi. On the Keitai Kaitsuu! Tamagotchi Plus, it appears as a costume form exclusive to Kurokotchi, but in other appearances, it can sometimes be seen or raised as an entirely separate character. Compared to Kurokotchi, it is very extroverted and cheery.
Aka Kurokotchi[]
Aka Kurokotchi (あかくろこっち Aka Kurokotchi) is the Akai counterpart of Kurokotchi who appears on the Keitai Kaitsuu! Tamagotchi Plus Akai. It strongly resembles Kurokotchi, but its body is a reddish-purple with a red outline. It is a resident of Makkakka Town.
Aka Wooltchi[]
Aka Wooltchi (あかうーるっち Aka Ūrutchi) is the Akai counterpart of Wooltchi and a costume form unique to Aka Kurokotchi. It has the same reddish-purple face as Aka Kurokotchi, and it is obtained in the same way as Wooltchi from the Keitai.

- Despite being the same character, Kurokotchi and Wooltchi appear as separate raisable characters on the Tamagotchi Connection Version 3.
- This is also the case in both Tamagotchi Connection: Corner Shop and its sequel, where both can appear as separate customers and have unique stamp cards in the Customers List.
- On the Keitai and V3, Kurokotchi has a similar close-up to Masktchi and Gozarutchi, likely due to them all being mysterious in nature.
- Kurokotchi appeared on Tamagotchi 25th Anniversary Poll as an adult candidate for the Anniversary Party TamaSma Card.
- In the Nurture! Play! Everyone's K-tama Newspaper guidebook, the results for a Tamagotchi Keitai character ranking were listed. Kurokotchi came in 10th place, one place below its alternate form Wooltchi.
- Kurokotchi is the only raisable character on the Tamagotchi Connection V3 who did not appear on its 2024 rerelease.
- On the Keitai, Akai, and the Connection Version 3, when connecting to another device, squiggle lines can be seen when Kurokotchi jumps off the screen instead of the usual puff cloud. It shares this distinction with most Frail and Stubborn adults.
