Not to be confused with Korokotchi, a male teen character who debuted on the Tamagotchi Connection Version 5.
Kurokotchi (くろこっち) is an adult Tamagotchi character that debuted on the Keitai Kaitsuu Tamagotchi Plus in Japan, and on the Tamagotchi Connection Version 3 worldwide.
Name Origin[]
Kuroko are black-dressed stage attendants in Kabuki plays. They are in charge of moving scenery and props between scenes, and play as animals, spirits, or other roles.
Appearance[]
Kurokotchi has a dark blue body, a rectangular head, pink lips, and narrow eyes. Kurokotchi that originate from Makkakka Town have a red outline, and its body color is a warm shade of purple.
Personality[]
It has creepy eyes that shine in the darkness like search lights. Kurokotchi has a balanced lifestyle that has a healthy mind and body, but still likes to sleep in and stay up late. Introverted, it is slow and terribly shy, and only feels comfortable in the dark. Kurokotchi's deepest secret is that it is a gigantic fan of cosplay, and when it puts on a Wooltchi costume, it's personality becomes extroverted and boisterous.

Ketai Tamagotchi Plus/Akai[]
Kurokotchi is a Stubborn adult that can be obtained on even generations. It evolves from either Young Mametchi, Hinatchi/Darumatchi, or Young Oyajitchi. Its character-unique item is a ball of cotton, which allows it to become Wooltchi. Kurokotchi will remain as Wooltchi until the cotton is removed, and the item can be used infinitely. Kurokotchi sleeps from 11 PM to 10 AM. Like other "stubborn" category adults on the Keitai (Gozarutchi and Wooltchi), Kurokotchi does not take baths or brush its teeth.
Tamagotchi Connection Version 3[]
Kurokotchi is a Stubborn adult that can be obtained on odd generations. Its favorite food is Popcorn, and it dislikes Bananas. Kurokotchi goes to bed at 10:15 P.M. and wakes up at 10 A.M, and its base weight is 20lb. Kurokotchi is the only character from this version to not appear on the 2024 rerelease.
Tamagotchi Plus Color[]
When visiting the theater in Celebria, Kurokotchi appears dressed in a monster costume for the user's Tamagotchi to fight.
Tamagotchi Hexagontchi[]
When visiting Hexagon Studio (the Hexagontchi substitute for the Plus Color's playground), Kurokotchi again appears in a monster costume. It can sometimes show up while the player's Tamagotchi is talking to another character, and startles them.

Wooltchi[]

Wooltchi is Kurokotchi dressed up as a sheep. The form can be obtained on the Tamagotchi Ketai and Akai by using the Wool Costume item with Kurokotchi. Wooltchi has also appeared as a seperate raisable character on the Tamagotchi Connection V2 and V3.

- Kurokotchi has similar animations to Masktchi and Gozarutchi, likely because all of them are Stubborn adults.
- Kurokotchi appeared on Tamagotchi 25th Anniversary Poll as an adult candidate for the Anniversary Party TamaSma Card.
- In the Nurture! Play! Everyone's K-tama Newspaper guidebook, the results for a Tamagotchi Keitai character ranking were listed. Kurokotchi came in 10th place, one place below its alternate form Wooltchi.
