Welcome, Tama-Friends! The Tamagotchi (たまごっち) is the world's first virtual pet, first released by Bandai in 1996 and internationally in 1997. For 25 years, Tamagotchi has been entertaining people around the world, with more than 82 million units sold as of 2019. This Wiki is dedicated to all aspects the franchise, including the virtual pets, characters, toys, video games, anime, and more!

The Tamagotchi Paradise is a modern color-screen Tamagotchi that released in most regions on July 12th, 2025 and in North America on August 1st, 2025. The device has users play the role of a researcher tasked with nurturing a freshly-hatched New Tamagotchi Planet by raising and researching a variety of brand-new Tamagotchi species. Key features include the dial used for zooming in and out of different views, Tama Fields where unique species can be raised, a breeding system similar to the Tamagotchi m!x and On, a level-up system for the planet with unlockables, and a mission system to keep track of certain achievements. Alongside base items like field-exclusive food, outside toys placed around each field, and accessories used to decorate the planet, there are additional items obtainable through shop codes that have been frequently released through social media, merchandise or promotions and collabs, as well as exclusive content from in-store Deka devices known as Lab Tamas.

Tamagotchi Plaza is a video game that released on June 27, 2025 exclusively for the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. Being the next big entry in the Corner Shop series, the game tasks the player with assisting Prince Tamahiko by opening shops around Tamahiko Town and running them successfully to increase reputation in order to win the bid for which town gets to host the upcoming Tamagotchi Fest. Players can choose Mametchi, Memetchi, Kuchipatchi, Mimitchi, Bubbletchi or Unimarutchi to be their vice chairperson and explore the town with to meet a wide variety of Tamagotchi characters.
The game has a total of 12 main shops to open, with the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition receiving an additional 3 secret shops that use the exclusive Joy-Con 2 mouse controls. The game has also received several post-launch updates with additional story content, as well as codes that are frequently released to unlock decorations for the Town Hall. There is also functionality with the Tamagotchi Uni, referred to as "Plaza Link", where users can receive exclusive items or Gotchi Points by exchanging codes between the game and the device.

Lessapantchi
Lessapantchi is an adult-stage Tamagotchi who debuted on the Tamagotchi Paradise as a character on the Jade Forest shell.
It resembles a red panda with a pink coloration and its known for its huge, striped tail. Even when Lessapantchi's sharp teeth and claws are bared, this Tamagotchi character still looks pretty cute.
