The Mayor (市長さん Shichō-san) is a vintage Tamagotchi character that acts as part of the Santaclautch no Tamagotch's backstory, though he does not appear on the toy itself.
Appearance[]
The Mayor has a round, yellow body with a white beard and eyebrows, a red bow tie, and a tall blue hat with a pink stripe.
Personality[]
The Mayor is kind, jolly, and does not like to see other Tamagotchis disappointed.
Story[]
When Tamagotchis began to return to the Tamagotchi Planet in late 1998, they had taken on some of The Earth's cultural norms and holidays, and wanted to celebrate Christmas. Realizing that Santa Claus did not exist on the Tamagotchi Planet, the Mayor decided he would take on the role of Santa himself. This triggered him to evolve into Santaclautchi.
Trivia[]
- The Mayor is depicted smoking a pipe in his original artwork. The pipe is omitted from his Tap and Hatch artwork.
- The Mayor only appears on the Tamagotchi Channel page for the Santaclautch no Tamagotch story.
