Megatchi (メガっち) is an adult Tamagotchi that debuted on the Tamagotchi Osutchi in Japan and on the Tamagotchi Connection Version 3 internationally. His female counterpart is Gankotchi.

Name Origin[]

Megao is a Japanese word meaning "look", which is a reference to Megatchi's large eyes.

Appearance[]

He looks like a dark purple bird with yellow feet. He has a pink beak and square-shaped eyes.

Personality[]

He likes to analyze everything, and always has a cool, dispassionate view of the world. As a result of this personality, he claims not to be interested in girls. He worries that someday he might end up falling in love.

Official profiles
"With his big eyes, he always analyzes his opponents in a cool way." - Tamagotchi 25th Character Special book (JP, 2022)

On Virtual Pets[]

Tamagotchi Osutchi[]

Megatchi is a TMP1 adult who evolves from Obotchi or Hawainotchi, and if sufficient neglect to cause TMP degeneration to occur he will also evolve from any of the three TMP2 teens (Hikotchi, Moritchi, or Pirorirotchi). He is obtained from bad care (but not severe neglect; should this be the case then the user will end up with Sutebotchi) and sleeps from 11 PM to 11 AM.

Marrying him with Kikotchi or Gankotchi will produce Kakutchi, while marrying with Pyonkotchi or Bunkotchi will produce Teletchi. Marrying any adult TMP2 or higher will always give a 50% chance of producing Kuritchi. For the other 50%, Kakutchi can be born when marrying either Billkotchi or Mimikotchi, Teletchi when marrying Piratchi, PuchiChocotchi when marrying Pipotchi, or PuchiTeletchi when marrying ChoHimetchi.

Tamagotchi Connection Version 3[]

Megatchi is an adult who can be obtained in odd-numbered generations. It is one of the worst care adults besides Kurokotchi and Masktchi, sleeps from 10:15 PM to 10 AM, has a base weight of 20 LB, likes corn dogs, and dislikes pineapples. On the 2024 re-release, a teen on odd generations that will become a Stubborn adult has a half chance of becoming either Megatchi or Masktchi.
