Mermaid Palace (マーメイドパレス Māmeido Paresu) is a town spread out on the bottom of the seabed in the ocean. It debuted on the Tamagotchi m!x.

Appearance

Mermaid Palace is located under the sea. The area is filled with coral, shells, and starfishes, and other marine life. There are many shell-like buildings and shops surrounding the palace. Many marine Tamagotchis are depicted as residing here.

Tamagotchi m!x

Mermaid Palace is a location available to unlock on all version of the m!x except the 20th Anniversary and Gift version. To unlock it, the Tamagotchi must connect with three other m!x devices or stations and then go outside to the backyard. Uerukametchi will be on his back and the Tamagotchi will help him up. As thanks, Uerukametchi will give them a ride to Mermaid Palace. Unlocking the location also unlocks the mermaid icon banner. From the menu, the user has these options

• Park: Exclusive residents can be talked to and played with here. If either of the residents are the mother or father of the user's tamagotchi they will not appear
• Shop: Exclusive foods, items, and accessories can be bought from the blue Depagatchi here. The shop also carries the standard stock from My Town's TamaDepa

• Marine Party: The Tamagotchi will attend a party hosted by Otohimetchi at the palace. After the party ends, Uerukametchi will give the Tamagotchi the Conch Shell or Tamatebako item. The Conch Shell is used to unlock Gozaru Village.
• Propose: The Tamagotchi can propose to the exclusive residents if they have a ring

Tamagotchi Smart

Mermaid Palace is visited when using the Tama Submarine item exclusive to the Marine Friends TamaSma Card. The user's Tamagotchi will ride it and follow Uerukametchi to Mermaid Palace where Kotohimetchi is hosting a party.

Tamagotchi Uni

Mermaid Palace is a seasonal Tama Walk location available during Summer. Uerukametchi and Otohimetchi can be passed by when the Tamagotchi walks there.

Trivia

• If the user has just two Tamagotchi m!x devices, they can still unlock Mermaid Palace by connecting device A to device B and then resetting the memory of device B so that it can count as a different m!x. This can be repeated so device B can count as a third device. Device B can then be connected again to device A to unlock Mermaid Palace for both devices.
  • A Tamagotchi Meets device can also count towards unlocking Mermaid Palace and may be reset to count as another device.
• The unlock animation and Marine Party option is a reference to Urashima Tarō, a Japanese fairy tale where a man called Urashima Tarō rescues a turtle. A bigger turtle returns the next day to give them a ride on their back to Dragon Palace, a kingdom under the sea. Tarō is then invited to the palace by princess Otohime who gifts him a tamatebako, a jeweled box that is said to keep him safe.
