Merry Christmas! Tamamori Tree Showdown (メリークリスマス！たまもりツリー対決 Merīkurisumasu! Tamamori tsurī taiketsu) is episode 108 of Tamagotchi!.
Synopsis[]
Today is the pre-Christmas special for the TAMAX-TV program "Glittering Tamamori Heaven"! The Moriritchi and Giragiratchi team will compete against each other to create the most elaborate Tamamori tree. Which one will win?
Plot[]
A special Kirakira Tamamori Heaven Christmas themed contest is taking place at TAMAX-TV. MC Puppetchi introduces the two teams: Moriritchi's team with Lovelin, Melody, and Tomomi and Giragiratchi's team with Mametchi, Memetchi, and Kuchipatchi. After talking to the two teams, MC Puppetchi explains the contest: the two teams will work to secure a tree and bring it back to TAMAX-TV. They will then decorate the tree with Tamamori and the tree with the most audience votes wins. After listening to the rules, the two teams run out the building to go get a tree.
Meanwhile, Spacytchi and his brothers watch the contest on TV. He decides to enter the contest with his own tree, intending to win and use the attention to state his plans of control of Tamagotchi Planet. At Gotchi King's Castle, Moriritchi's team asks the Gotchi King and Princess Tamako for a Christmas tree to which they say yes to. At a forest, Giragiratchi's team look for the perfect tree to take back with them to TAMAX-TV. Giragiratchi finds one and Mametchi uses a machine to take the tree out of the ground.
As the two teams return with their trees, Spacytchi finds one in the same forest and insists on using a multi-tool pocket knife to cut the tree down. After failing to make any progress he has his brothers make an attempt with the knife only for it to end the same way. Pipospetchi then points out a nearby bamboo forest and Akaspetchi suggests getting a bamboo tree as its trunk is thinner. Spacytchi successfully cuts down a tree and the brothers cheer.
Back at TAMAX-TV, the two teams think of how to theme their tree. Moriritchi's team decides to utilize planets and stars while Giragiratchi's team decides to go with a gift theme. At the Spacy Brothers' base, the three opt to draw their decorations on pieces of paper and hang them on the tree. The two teams at TAMAX-TV start decorating the tree and Lovelitchi remembers when her parents let her put the star on the tree as a child. Moriritchi, Melodytchi, and Tomomi also share their memories of Christmas as Pashalin takes a picture of them. Meanwhile, Mametchi uses a machine to put a light decoration on top of the tree as his team watches.
It soon turns into nighttime and it's time for the judging part of the contest to begin. Moriritchi's team reveals their tree which is decorated with planets, stars, and a model of Santaclautchi riding his sleigh on a path of lights. Giragiratchi's team reveals their tree which is decorated with presents, santa hats, and stockings and is topped with a moving light decoration. Upon seeing Giragiratchi's tree, Spacytchi is shocked to see there was another team in the contest and gives up. Their tree is shown hiding behind a building and Necktietchi comes across it, appreciating it and calling it a pretty Tanabata tree. He then exclaims that it's way past Tanabata and accidentally throws his Oden stick.
Don Paratchi and Maisutatchi praise both of the trees and the light decorations on them. MC Puppetchi then tells the audience to vote for their favorite tree and focuses on a meter which is counting all the votes. After the voting period ends, it's revealed that that the teams are tied in votes, making them both winners. Moriritchi and her team then look up at their tree and enjoy the lights.
