Metaboritchi (めたぼりっち Metaboritchi) is a parent stage Tamagotchi character that debuted on the Tamagotchi Connection Version 5.

Name Origin[]

メタボ metabo is Japanese slang used to describe people who are heavier-set, and it is derived from the term metabolic syndrome.

Appearance[]

Metaboritchi has a round, pudgy figure with short arms and legs. It has beady eyes, a pink beak, and plump cheeks. In most non-sprite artwork, motion lines are added around the stomach, suggesting that it jiggles a lot. The male and female have minor differences between them. The male Metaboritchi has blue skin and a green suit, and the female Metaboritchi has yellow skin and a pink suit.

Personality[]

They're skilled and graceful dancers, and highly competitive. Two Metaboritchis, especially married couples, will fiercely compete at dancing with each other as a means of exercise.

On Virtual Pets[]

Tamagotchi Connection Version 5[]

Metaboritchi evolves from Osumotchi upon marriage. Regardless of what partner it marries, the result will always be a Blended Family.

From the second Generation onward, both parents will become Metaboritchi if the children in the adult stage are overfed three times, with the children becoming Osumotchi and forming the Large Family. The parents' evolution cannot be reversed, but can also evolve into the other neglect parents (Petioyatchi, Kashiratchi, and Okugatatchi) if the neglect conditions are met.

In the Anime[]

Tamagotchi: Happiest Story in the Universe![]

A male and female Metaboritchi are seen in Celebria getting turned into paper after getting caught in the paper tornado. They later revert back to normal after the paper tornado is stopped and can be seen cleaning up the mess it made in the credits.
