Mr. Turtlepedia (辞典亀先生 Jiten Kame Sensei), also known as Mr. Dictionary Turtle, is a male Tamagotchi who debuted on the Chou Jinsei Enjoi Tamagotchi Plus in Japan, and on the Tamagotchi Connection Version 4 internationally. His occupation is the history teacher at the Tamagotchi School.

Name Origin[]

Mr. Turtlepedia's name comes from his appearance being based off a turtle and his shell being a dictionary. His Japanese name is a combination of (辞典先生 jiten sensei) meaning 'dictionary teacher' and (亀 kame) meaning 'turtle'.

Appearance[]

As his name implies, Mr. Turtlepedia looks like a green turtle with a cream-colored belly. He wears a blue and brown hat with three black stripes and a red chin strap. He has a white moustache, green cheeks, and visible nostrils. His shell looks like a bluegreen book with white text that says "dictionary teacher" (辞典先生 jiten sensei).

Personality[]

Mr. Turtlepedia is is very knowledgeable. In Tamagotchi Corner Shop 3, it is stated that he airs out his shell and hides inside when things start to turn sour. In the episode "The Power of Gossip!" from the Tamagotchi! anime, it is rumored that he likes fashion and uses different colors and designs for his shell.

Chou Jinsei Enjoi Tamagotchi Plus[]

Mr. Turtlepedia is one of three possible teachers the Tamagotchi can learn from once it enters the teen stage. He gives the player's Tamagotchi Intelligence points for each interaction. Once the Tamagotchi reaches the Adult Stage, Mr. Turtlepedia will appear one last time to say goodbye.

Tamagotchi Connection V4 / V4.5[]

Mr. Turtlepedia is one of three possible teachers the Tamagotchi can learn from once it enters the teen stage. He gives the player's Tamagotchi Intelligence points (Funny points on the V4.5) for each interaction. The player can also call him with the Cell Phone item. Once the Tamagotchi reaches the Adult Stage, Mr. Turtlepedia will appear one last time to say goodbye.

Tamagotchi Plus Color[]

Mr. Turtlepedia appears during walks from 6:00 PM to 9:59 PM to give tips and tricks.

Tamagotchi iD L[]

Mr. Turtlepedia appears as an NPC at Donuts Park.

Mr. Turtlepedia helps make the cold medicine for Tamagotchi Planet when they get a cold from Sunnytchi suddenly leaving.

Tamagotchi: Happiest Story in the Universe![]

Mr. Turtlepedia is seen at Tamagotchi School giving a speech to the students about the Magical Flying Library Ship visiting them in the beginning of the movie. In the second half of the movie, he is part of the group at Mamemame Laboratory trying to figure out how to stop the magical tornado attacking Celebria. The group goes to Celebria to keep watch on the tornado as Mametchi and friends complete their mission to stop it. When the tornado advances further, Mr. Turtlepedia falls back on his shell while running away and Papamametchi goes to save him, causing the tornado to touch them and turn them both to paper. They return to normal at the end when the tornado is ended by Mametchi and friends.

Tamagotchi![]

Mr. Turtlepedia is the teacher of Chamametchi's class and is good friends with Grippatchi. Principal Mimizu often stands on his head when giving a speech in order to reach the microphone. In "Atsuatsu! Sabusabu! Seat Panic", his class thinks he will switch everyone's seats due to Kumattatchi mishearing a conversation he had with Grippatchi. He later clarifies that he has no plans to do that and carries on with his lesson, much to everyone's shock.

Mr. Turtlepedia is one of the teachers at DoriTama School.

Tamagotchi Connection: Corner Shop series[]

Mr. Turtlepedia appears as a possible customer for the shops. Like other teachers, he will ask the player's partner about their schoolwork.

Tamagotchi Plaza[]

Mr. Turtlepedia is a potential customer who frequents the Bicycle Shop, the Eyewear Shop, the Rap Battle Shop, the Night Pool and the Takoyaki Shop.
